Wow, that package design looks s**tty as all get-out. And what's up with Ol' Tin Head? That doesn't even look like the film version, it looks like the headshot of a toy. Normally, I'd just assume it's placeholder art, but nowadays it really is hard to tell...

1-Disc cover is 10,000 times better than the 2-Disc one. Shame they didn't use it for Blu.
I like the One Disc art, but I think it's too crowded for my tastes. I like the simple art on the Two Disc and Blu-Ray.
Will the 2-Disc version have a lenticular cover? Is that why they have Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr. in the same pose?
Man, if it's a lenticular cover, it would kind of make me rethink the need for a steelbook.

I liked the new art before, but now that I see it is a slip cover with Downey underneath...even better.

Ahhhh... a slipcover! That makes more sense now.

Why couldn't they use the single disc artwork for the 2 disc special edition?
The 2-disc art is a lot cooler now that you have Stark underneath the Shellhead slipcover. I still think that the best thing for the 2-disc would've been the teaser poster with half of Iron Man's mask.
And why is the back of the 1-disc uber-cheesy?

This was a great Movie dont get me wrong but till i saw Dark Knight i do have to say that was the movie of the summer imho the top movies this summer

Ooooh, I like what I am going to assume is the slipcover and keepcase...with the armor and underneath, Stark.
Ok, does anyone ELSE think that the back cover of the 2 disc gives away a HUGE SPOILER? You know it if you look carefully (metal suit dude)
Such a big movie and there is NO Bonus View 1.1. That is unacceptable to say at least. I really think BD-Live is a waste of space. Right until they come up with better things i can't stand that feature
Arrrgh! Why did they do that art for the Blu-ray? The single disc art is so much better.
Oh well. That won't stop me from buying it on release day.

Blu-Ray for me. Excellent film.
Wow. Great covers.
First off I agree that the one disc cover art is too busy, it's fine but I like the 2 Disc better, it's more striking and it's cool that it's a slipcover and it's Downey Jr. underneath. Another bonus is no stupid quotes on the front and back, quotes and floating heads seem to be the thing to do.
I also agree that Jeff Bridges in the prototype suit is a bit of a spoiler but I would think anyone buying the 2 Disc is already a fan and has seen the movie...
Maybe they've finally realized that only big fans of the movie buy the 2 disc versions so they don't have to show us who's in the movie and what critics said about it because we are already planning on buying it.

you fail
Honestly, with the whole disc art thing, am I the only one that doesn't care? I mean, if it's good, then that's cool, but if it's not that's not going to stop me at all. They could put a blank piece of paper in there and I'd still buy it.
That said, anyone know if the blu-ray is gonna have the slipcover too?

i kinda like the single disc art, more than the 2-discs...
but im gonna get the 2-discs lol

I actually prefer the 1-disc artwork!
That Iron Man IQ looks super cool. I hope The Dark Knight does something like that.

Haha, I didn't notice that till now, you're right! I don't know how many people would really notice that and go "Ohmigosh, that totally just ruined the movie!" though, so, oh well. It is odd for it to be there though, I do agree with you there.

Pretty good movie, won't be buying it though.
So, judging by the details, am I to assume that the Blu Ray version comes with the animated movie in High Def? That's awesome.

if you're referring to the "invincible iron man" listing then no it isnt the animated movie. that's just the name of the little documentary/featurette about the comic book.
i love how marvel have done this with many of their movies when they hit home video though, you get a section for the movie itself and all its featurettes etc, and then a section about the comic's history. not being a comic book reader, its fun to see that stuff.

Thank you Marvel Comics, Paramount and Iron Man fans everywhere. With all the hype and acclaim for this movie, I thought it was high time to put my original edition of Tales Of Suspense # 39 (Iron Man's first appearence)up for sale on ebay. It sold pretty quickly for $1,100 in fine + condition.
You could always make your own cover art...
