Warner Home Video has officially announced It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. The remastered deluxe edition will be available to own from the 2nd September, and should retail at around $19.98. Extras will include a We Need a Blockbuster, Charlie Brown featurette, and a new bonus episode ("It's Magic, Charlie Brown"). The more Peanuts Deluxe editions, the better. I'm surprised they didn't release a summer-themed one, such as the "Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown" film backed w/"It Was A Short Summer, Charlie Brown".
Interesting press release - I wonder why they didn't include that it is "also recognised by 1 in 3 mentally insane people that get hipnotised by Charlie Brown's striped shirt"...
This film was a tradition every single year growing up (the days before VHS, hell, before color TV and cable ). I need to pick this up, yet, it dosesn't seem right unless they have Dolly Madison commercials with it 
Can't wait. I am a Snoopy fan and I love the Halloween special. I saw it at least 6 times. I LOVE SNOOPY!
It always upset me that the Great Pumpkin wasn't real (in the Peanuts' Universe anyway).
As we say at work, "You don't like Charlie Brown...what are you some kind of communist?"
Guess it's a good thing that I waited and did not buy the current boxset that is out. So will we also get Thanksgiving and Christmas? Probably. I'm still waiting on a DVD release date for Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown and Why, Charlie Brown, Why? Those two are the only reasons why I still have my VHS player hooked up.
Nice! Although us die hard Peanuts fans are still waiting for Paramount to release a DVD of Race for Your Life and Bon Voyage Charlie Brown!
Charlie Brown is great but i wonder if the kids of today can appreciate it after having their senses bombarded by Power Rangers & Ben10

The only Peanuts specials I have as of right now are the Valentine's Day, Easter and Christmas special, though I have the Christmas special on the original DVD. If they do a re-release of the Christmas special, I'm still going to buy it just for the record.
