alright film, i hated the ending, and the cover sucks all three covers are the same
Quite a fun film. Saw it in thte theatre. Just cheesy great fun. Will def pick it up.
I'll give it a rent, but I have very low expectations. I looks kind of goofy.
I enjoyed this movie for what it was. But so short, I had to wonder what was left on the cuttingroom floor? And this DVD cover art is awful...yes I'm still picking it up.
So much promise yet a real cr*ppy movie....sigh
This looked bad. Actually, worse than bad. Lame. Where is THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES? I would want that one instead.
i loved this movie and the cover art rocks!
This movie wasn't even "fun" for me. it was actually quite boring and stupid and has a very uninvolving plot with dull characters made worse by the worst 'big name' actor in the world named H. Christiansen. Yes the mediocre R. Bilson even outshined him even J. Alba outshined his lousyass in Awake. Seriously this guy is hideous at acting. And Awake was actually a decent movie, his atrocious acting is what ruined it. But back to JUMPER - the movie is stupid and boring AT ALL LEVELS. A film about teleportation should be cool but this film actually manages to be horrible. And I don't like Doug Liman's films for some reason....and why is Sam L. Jackson involved in every film under the sun? David S. Goyer, your blade 1 and 2 is awesome. 3 was horrible and ur script for jumper is bad too. you are becoming a hit or miss.
This was fun 2 hours spent at the movies. I enjoyed it. Will definitely be picking it up on DVD.
now as much as i hated mr and mrs smith, i LOVED this movie. you really cant have more fun watching a movie. its no award winning, life changing, tom hanks starring movie. but its more fun than all of that combined.
Well, that really sucks, the 2-disc cover is exactly the same as the ugly 1-disc!
This movie SUCKED! Uninvolved characters, no suspense, no building of plot, no sense of pacing. Almost like the interesting parts of this movie were cut out, just so we could see the scenery.
I hate the way the put "Digital Copy" makes it sound so cheap.
better than I expected although Hayden was much as I expected, emotionless. Billy Elliot should have had his part, he'd have done a good job.
nice glad to see the digital copy is on the 2 disc set i figured as much but hey would you rather have that tag than some critic saying the most action packed movie of the year?

the main reason its a 2 disc is cause of the digital copy

Won't be long before this is on the 6.99 rack at Blockbuster.
Figured they'd tack on that annoying banner.
Eeeckkk... terrible artwork! Is that a Spiderman websling pose? It looks like it.
Jamie Bell really was the star of the show for me, plus it did have a very exhilarating chase sequence in the movie. I will pick it up when the time is right.
Might as well jump.....JUMP. Go ahead Jump.

Advertising that it's from the director of Mr. & Mrs. Smith makes me want to see the movie even less.
I'll see it but I have mixed feelings on seeing the trailer for this one.

Is it worth for the dollar theatre??
the only thing appealing about this movie is the freakin sexy ass leading man...not interested in the movie though

I liked this movie, not for what it was, but for what it COULD be. Although, my opinion may be a bit biased because it takes place in my hometown. If done right, this could be a great film franchise.
By the way, the cover art sucks.

Did the Cardigans do the soundtrack?
Either I don't see the 2 disc artwork or it is the same and they made it the same to trick people into buying the 1 disc instead of the two disc
Artwork added for the 2-disc SE...
I liked it enough to buy it however David Goyer has got to step it up as far as writing goes. The movie suffers from a lot of unfinished thought like The Invisible did
Fox made a deal with apple at macworld expo that all there movies would include a digital copy wich is all optained through itunes. wich i belive this is the best way for digital copy than the other companys have right now.
As someone else said, this movie is just for fun. However, I was disappointed that it could've been longer and as good as Lidman's other films. And why do so many DVDs have digital copies these days?!
this was an OK film...
and that cover is so hedious
i hate it...

this was a fun movie so far my second favorite film to cloverfield this year. now im wondering does the 2 disc dvd set has the digital copy as well or just blu ray?
Loved this movie. It was fun, action packed, not to long, just a sit down friday night with a bowl of popcorn. I will buy it on pre-viewd. I kinda hate how movies now are 1 disk and 2 disk, buit i like how theres not bonus stuff on the 1 disk.
It was very VERY average. Diane Lane and Sam Jackson were VERY underused.

I thought it wasnt horrible. I've definitley seen worse with more hype. It had some good scenes, the bus crashing through the sand, the fights rolling through different countries. Good special effects too.

You know, I actually got a real kick out of this movie... if for no other reason than that I love the concept, and they do pretty much everything with it in the movie that you would fantasize about doing if you actually had that power. I'd put it in the same category as Transformers- dumb movie, but you can't help grinning when you watch it.
That artwork isn't awful, but it's a little awkward. How many people do the splits when they jump? Can legs really stretch that far apart?

i was extremely disappointed by this... after watching the trailer i thought it had a great deal of potential. to me, it seemed like the movie was trimmed down to an absolute minimum to give it a (much) shorter running time. the result? it felt like watching an extended trailer :S
i personally believe this will be one of the fox titles to receive an extended edition treatment later down the track.

It'll be the theatrical 2.35:1--the 1.85:1 is just a misprint by Fox in their PR materials.

This film had so much potential but it just ended up being really dumb. Although dumb in a fun way because I can't say I was ever bored with it. The action was well done enough, this is Doug Liman we're talking about, but it was pretty unintentionally funny. I actually found the scenes with the younger characters to be more interesting. However, I may pick up the 2-Disc if I'm in a good mood, the coverart is pretty nice.
Interesting premise that had some possibilities only to be kiiled by the assumption that there would be a sequel--too many plot threads left dangling, unaswered, or otherwise only hinted at and the feeling that they were saving a lot of the 'good stuff' or big revelations for the next film. It just wasn't a complete movie and I felt cheated after seeing it, but not entirely cheated--just a 'I should have asked for half my money back since they only delivered half a movie' sort of cheated.
The movie was average. I just knew that there were going to be deleted scenes. The movie was too short. But Fox is doing the right thing by giving us at the same time both editions of the dvd. No double dipping. Also, I'm so glad that Fox is going to actually put some features in the 2nd disc unlike the Hitman dvd. A digitial copy of the movie isn't a feature. And most people won't use the thing.
Poor cover, and have no interest in seeing this one...
I thought this movie was entertaining enough, and I like Christensen. They'd better have something much better for the 2-disc artwork; preferably just the nice, simple poster with him standing on the Sphinx.
Well, well, well, if it isn't "Anakin Skywalker and Mace Windu Tackle A Film That Resembles The Matrix + Highlander". I'm not touching this with a 10-foot pole......
WHAT IS BD-JAVA??
Never saw this one, but I really love that single disc art.
This was a fun film. I'll probably get it eventually.
Very nice cover art.
Very nice cover art.
Didn't interest me...
Yep, like anyone will want the two-disc edition of this horrible piece of filmmaking.
Also, the film recieved the horrible artwork it deserves.

Cool cover art, let's hope Fox won't change it at the last minute...
Another Digital copy. I think I'll puke. By the way I'm not so happy with that artwork.
So the blu ray has a slip cover?
I enjoyed the movie. Could've been better. It's like the first X-Men movie, in that it just feels like a prelude to a much bigger, better adventure.
Not too sure about that artwork though...What's going on between his legs? That's like the biggest bulge I've ever seen. I think the "jump" put so much pressure on him that he took a big c**p and now a ball of it is stuck and getting slung around at the butt of his pants. Fix that artwork, FOX.
They should change it to this one (revise it a little bit, of course): http://www.iwatchstuff.com/2007/12/11/jumper-po...
That'll look cool, with the white caseholder/slipcase over it too. That'll be an eye-catcher in Blockbuster if they change it to that art.

Strictly how-to-shoot-your-blockbuster-101. Hightlights are Jamie Bell, a so-bad-it's-good ending and... oh, yeah, I was expecting a mediocre performance from Bilson (which was exactly what I got from Christensen), but it was, wow, how can I say, one of the worst, if not THE worst 'superhero girlfriend' acting job I've ever seen in my life. The girl clearly cannot act on the big screen, and I'm sorry to say, but it's no prejudice. People were laughing at her line delivery in theaters.
Oh, yeah, and that cover is hideous. The blue-yellow blends like c**p and the leg position is just... odd.

Whoops, for some reason I kept thinking this was a Paramount release. My error.
Any word on the OAR though?

I loved this movie! Mostly because I could stare at Rachel Bilson all day long but it was pure, fun entertainment. Plus I can't wait to have it on my iPod!

My family and I saw this in the theater, it was not as bad as some make it out to be. I would have liked them to stay with the younger characters more, Hayden is not the best of actors. Aside from that, the movie is quite entertaining at times, however a bit too easily figured out.

I seriously hate the Digital Copy Special Edition logo. Why can't Fox just put Two-Disc Special Edition and list the Digital Copy on the back of the DVD under the Special Features section. That's what Lions Gate is doing.

Also is that aspect ratio accurate? This was 2:35:1 in the theater.
It's a Fox release.
And the Blu-ray artwork is awful.

That cover is pretty awesome looking surprisingly. I watched the movie and it was a decent time-waster. It might be worth a buy on BD when it gets cheaper.

I love Doug Liman's work, and I have found something interesting in every one of his efforts, from SWINGERS to MR. AND MRS. SMITH, and trailers for JUMPER surely looked fine enough, but... it was a complete mess. I would say the buck stops at David Goyer's senseless script, but there was really no redeeming merits to this utter failure. If only it had been an entertaining failure, but it was also boring.
Believe me, I am not comparing this to any 'highbrow' movie, I am the right target for this kind of films when done well (I mean, I love, LOVE the first BLADE, had a lot of fun with BLADE II, and then I rolled my eyes at Goyer's BLADE III), but JUMPER fails in all departments.

I saw it on Valentine's Day. It's purely just for fun. If you're looking to be entertained, then this definitely succeeds. If you're looking for No Country for Old Jumpers, then you might as well skip this and hold off on prematurely bashing it.
That being said, this was indeed fun and I will pick it up, as it will come in handy on nights that I want to enjoy a fun popcorn flick.

doesn't look too impressive
So... anyone see this, was it any good?
Sorry about the lack of news lately - I've been on holiday. I'll make a big effort to catch up over the next couple of days!
