I just read on AICN that at the comic-con panel for the King Kong EE, it's only going to have 13 extra minutes. How many of those minutes will be part of the credis rolling?

Damn I'm Glad I didn't buy the first DVD that came out.

No.
No.
Does anyone know what some of the dleted scenes are? I hearb that one of the scenes is when they first reach Skull Island Bay a giant Sea monster attacks the Venture. It might bewhen they are leaving SkullIsland. Not totally sure. Box set is awsome looking.
wish they had the directors cut verison and the extended verison. the DD cut should be like 2 hrs and 30 mins.

This is the director's cut. I doubt that Jackson would ever shorten one of his movies.

The more 'Kong', the better!
His name is Mr. Hayes and DO NOT MAKE FUN OF HIM!
I got the 2-Disc set of this one and '33. Don't have the Production Diaries yet, but I will get this one for sure. Artwork is awesome.
Son of a...I thought there wasnt a longer cut of this movie available so I bought the 2 disc. Looks like I'm gonna have to buy the special giftset edition. Personally I absolutely loved the movie but am getting sick of studios double dipping EVERYTHING.
BTW if you wanna see the mother load of EXTRAS shell out the cash and get the production diaries. THEY ROCK. It brings you up to the last day of filming. Then the are continued on the for post production on the 2 disc set. I can't wait to see what other EXTRAS will be on the 3 disc set. King was a great film, Peter JAckson did an amazing job, a litte slow in parts but the last 45 minutes is some of the most cinematic amazing film I've ever seen. LOVED IT!

DTS = better sound, superiour clarity, and thunderous. I still cant see how people prefer DD, is just too weak compared to DTS.

Hi, I just checked Amazon and there will be King Kong (Deluxe Extended Limited Edition DVD Gift Set). Can you give me the contents list of package ? Cause I think I will buy this version. Thank you for your information.
Sorry, want to correct my question. I would like to know the contents of package, besides crafted King Kong figurine and 3 discs. Thanks.
I wouldn't mind knowing what else is in the package either, but I'm not sure that info has been released at this time. I might have to go for just the extended edition, though...kind of low on money.
Hmm, that's a pretty pathetic figurine for such an awesome movie. Looks like it was rushed. I know it's probably mass produced and not hand made but still. Could made it a little more detailed.
I'm really not digging the rather uninspired disc art for this extended release. And the limited edition figure, in my opinion, is really ugly.
I'm sorry, but that sculpture is nothing compared to the works of art that came with the Lord of the Rings gift sets. There's no way I'm getting the gift set, it just looks like a cheap toy.
That sculpture is just ugly. I'll definitely be taking the much less expensive route and just getting the three-disc set itself.
The 2-disc SE is plenty for me, I love the film but c'mon already. For completists only!

Gift-Set looks amazing. I'll definitely get the Gift Set then...'
one word : Boring
i'll stick to the 3-Disc Edition..the Kong looks ugly..bleeeeeeeeee!!!!!
This movie needs to be edited shorter rather longer...
They gave Peter Jackson too much editorial freedom after his success with LOTR. Did we really need to have character development for Billy the ship's toilet scrubber?

No, we really didn't. I still can't wait to see it though...hoping it will fill in the gaps of the film. Can't wait for the pond scene that was cut out either.
Holy S$%!
What a beauty of a DVD Gift set, it must definetly be a Weta statue, so getting this.

Were you drunk when posting this? That statue looks horrificly bad. Ann barely even has a face. The Lord of the Rings statues were much, much better.
