Universal Home Video has announced Knight Rider: The Complete Series which stars David Hasselhoff. The 24-disc package will be available to own from the 21st October, and should retail at around $139.98. Extras will include "Knight of the Phoenix's" commentary with David Hasselhoff and Writer/Creator Glen Larson, featurettes (Knight Moves, Knight Sounds, Knight Rider 2000, Knight Rider: Under the Hood, The Great 80's TV Flashback), a K.I.T.T. Owners Manual, galleries, and more. All of this will be housed in a collectible K.I.T.T. Gift Box with Flashing Lights & Sound Chip. We've attached the package artwork below:

wow....seeing reruns on tv and realizing how badly its aged made me never buy the seasons but this series box sounds awesome....flashing lights and sound? thats just neat...i might have to give in..lol
Isn't this a bit late? Any true fan has the seaon boxsets already...

i just found this out but apparently the season sets were put onto double sided discs and many people complained about them, this collection puts them all on single sided discs, so i'm sure some people purposely avoided them because of this.
then you have people like me who never bought em and will probably give in to a fancy box with fancy packaging so there's always people who havent yet. lol

Sounds like a nice boxset. Surely were not so shallow as to buy it just for the box though.

oh..i AM that shallow.....i'm the guy who bought the Buffy and Angel box sets even though i already had each individual seasons...yes indeed, shallowness is thy name.
i saw that knight rider gps before though, if i had a car and drove...i'd probably get it. lol

I bought the Buffy, Angel, and Alias box sets. I just sold all my original seasons first and waited for Amazon to put the box sets on sale. That is what I might do for this. I have yet to finish the fourth season on the show, but I agree that it did not age as well as other shows. I am still holding out for a Complete Series Collection for Magnum PI.
All those extras listed are from season 1 only as the rest of the sets were barebones.
I already bought them, so no need to get this, even if there is cool packging.

oh i considered that first, we had a used dvd/cd store here so i asked about it and yeah, they were gonna offer me 120$ for 12 seasons (7 buffy, 5 angel) ..i mean i didnt expect like 300 or anything but i figured at least 200 or a little higher, i mean they were still being sold for 40$ and up at the time and they're in the original packging and not the new slim sets.
so yeah i kept em, maybe one day i'll sell em but for now i have both series twice...same with Alias actually but in that case, i didnt have season 5 so it wasnt a TOTAL waste

The price doesn't look as bad, and the packaging looks really nice! I might buy it if it is around $75...maybe, I only own a 3 episode disc from R4...

i think he might be referring to the fact the individual releases were on double sided discs and many players seem to have trouble with those. but this collection has put them all on single sided discs so yay.

Originally when these discs were first released there were problems ranging from audio problems to missing sound effects people have complained enough about this that they had an exchange program and they decided to do single sided discs
Picking this one up and just in time for the Knight Rider GPS!
