A multi-million dollar marketing what? Did they forget to finish that sentence? S**t film anyway.

It carries onto the Push advertisement
I like how they remove everybody's faces except Nicolas Cage for the Blu-Ray release.
The artwork suits the movie - bad.
This was a love it or hate it movie it seems; I happened to love it. Wish they had stuck with the theatrical poster art though and not slapped Nicolas Cage's stupid face on it.
The artwork sucks big time. As for the film, like I said in another thread, the first hour was decent and then it completely falls apart in the last half an hour.
Shame it goes into Christian mythology or something, it was a cracking bleak horror thriller that I really enjoyed up until then.
Spoiler If you've seen the film, then you know that the advertisement spoils the end of the film.
But I really enjoyed this. May pick it up depending on cash on hand at the time.

I happened to love the movie up until the last 15 minutes or so then it totally lets itself down which is a total pity. The DVD artwork is a tad bit better than the Blu-Ray one, definitely not good enough.
Christian? How is this Christian?
*spoilers***
Aliens transport multiple pairs of children to another planet to re-populate. What part of the bible did you read, lol. They only focused on one set of kids (in a horribly CGI environment), but there were more ships with more children leaving at the end. I felt the same way about the end until I remembered that, then I liked it a bit more (at first I hated it).
Anyway this film wasn't horrible, some of the special effects were very real (the plane crash). The end was weak, and I would have preferred a darker ending where the world just ended personally, but some I guess would think it was too "depressing". Cover is horrible though.
They shouldn't have let those 4 year olds in hollywood (who seem to do alot of the dvd covers these days) to use so much of the orange finger paint. Who gave them the picture of Cage to smear in there?

Dya know what? I prefer this artwork to the UK art. HOWEVER this film is absolutely f**king terrible.
Wanted to see the film, starting to get Netflix, so I will Netflix the Blu-Ray.
I found the bit involving the bootleg DVD's hilarious. As for the movie itself, it was really thrilling until that last 30 minutes or so.
I really wanted to see this. I heard some great things about it not counting the critic reviews. I will probably blind buy the Blu-ray

Its actually moderately entertaining. Much better than other Summit production garbage as Twilight and Never Back Down.
The BD artwork is a slight improvement over the DVD! Which is awesome. Still the BD cover needs work. Removing Cage's half body and leaving the globe on fire alone, does the job perfectly!

This movie felt like it was written in just a couple of hours. Almost like someone had a good idea, but was forced to hurry with the script or it wouldn't be made.
i'll rent it on BD. It looks like a movie Nic Cage will be good in.
My review. I loved the film by the way:
It's hard to give a synopsis without giving too much way, so I'll try my best: John Koestler's son has just gotten the most chilling drawing from a time capsule. It contains numbers that predict deadly events that have occurred and that will occur.
Brief, yes, but the less you know, the better. This is probably why the marketing of the film consists of short, mysterious scenes filled with jaw-dropping special effects yet very little on the actual plot. However, the critical reaction may make one think the mystery shrouding this film may not be good. I'll tell you now: Go watch the film if you're interested/intrigued.
I'm afraid the critics are wrong on this one, and painfully so. The plot is far-fetched and probably (or hopefully) not realistic but this is why movies are made, isn't it? Escapism, one says. You sit down for two hours to escape from the real world to watch something fascinating, suspenseful, and, sometimes, disturbing, yet you know it can't be true but you go along with it anyway. This is "Knowing," a film that holds one's attention until the very end, bringing him or her into a world filled with some jaw dropping action scenes, with some very disturbing scenes with it.
"Knowing" is different from your mindless popcorn thrillers because it isn't mindless. It's sometimes thought provoking and triggers a variety of emotions from the viewer. The film is funny when it needs to be, after having watch a very disturbing scene. The action scenes are amazing, some cringe-worthy, in a good way, actually, because it's not just "Wow. Cool special effects," although there really are some top notch effects, but because they are very hard to watch. The film really pushes the PG-13 rating and sometimes pushes it so far and shot so well that I was left speechless.
The film also has a lot of fantastic performances, one from Nicolas Cage, an iffy actor, if you ask me but he manages to pull it off here. Chandler Canterbury, the kid actor one hopes to act well alongside Cage, also does a decent job. Rose Byrne finishes off the main cast with an equally well played role. And the movie isn't just about the action either. In some very human scenes, it may strike an emotional cord from some viewers.
This is not your usual apocalyptic flick. No it isn't. It has something more, something I cannot reveal without spoiling the movie, including an out-of-the-world ending that will leave some viewers talking. Alex Proyas, again, does not disappoint. There are some fantastic performances and some ingenious action scenes, especially in the way they are shot, along with a very intriguing plot. This, I'm proud to say, is the best film this year, so far, and one of the most surprising films I've ever seen. If you're very interested in the film, give it a watch or you'll regret "knowing" nothing about it. 9/10

Thought it was okay. I might pick the DVD up when I can't find anything else to watch in the video store.
I wanted to see this in theaters, but never got to i will put this on netflix.
saw it. hated the ending. it was great to that point.
Interesting movie. I surely wouldn't want to know when the end was coming. The angelic aliens were a bit much and the Eden thing were definitely the religious overtones I could have done without but then again I can see where the writer wanted to go with the story. Not on the buy list since I saw it but it's worth checking out on a rental.
I can see why 2012 was pushed back away from this movie. Too many end o the world flix cluttering up the theaters and vying for that apocalypse dollar.

Movie was a great ride until the last 15 minutes which pretty much laid waste to everything that came before it. This ending is the best they could come up with?
This was ok. Might give it another chance on blu.
Cage's face on the cover just blew it...
can this be worse than 'THE EARTH STOOD STILL'?

I liked it a lot. I'll be buying for sure on Blu.

Spoiler Yeah, very true. Come to think of it, the Artwork itself is a huge spoiler as well. Those who missed this in the theatre will now know the ending, no need to see this anymore lol

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I will definitely be picking up the Blu Ray release.
I missed it at the cinema, so this will either be a rental or blind buy (when the price lowers).
This film was damn entertaining. It was never boring and the suspense was spectacular. Too bad some people didn't like it, but hey, do we all have to like the same things?
