Secrets of the Furious Five R2 release? I had no idea there was a follow-up film to KFP until I came here looking for information on what was on the DVD releases. While I think it's great that US/Canada get a double pack with SotF5, and it's on the Blu-ray, I can't find any info on whether or not it'll be released on DVD for Region 2 with KFP. Does anyone know for sure as amazon, hmv, imdb and zavvi aren't much help and I would really like to see SotF5.

I had no interest in this movie, but I was on a cruise recently and surprisingly enough, it was playing in the room. I saw it like 5 times, and dug the schit out of it. It's fun, not too complex or anything, but a good time. I don't see what all the drama is about. I haven't seen WALL-E yet, but I've actually hear really good things. Looks like some people didn't think so. Good thing I have my own mind to make up.

Good for you Bouncy, being the big boy and all. It's true what they say about Canadiens being nicer and more civil. Here in the states you would be shot before anyone had the sense to move on.

this was surprisingly entertaining and black did a great job... much like robin williams, i appreciate his voicework much more than his "acting"... or even real-life persona.

So Blu-ray owners not wanting Secrets of the Furious Five then? I'm sure it'll be pure fluff, but the completist in me still wants it included.

Top says Universal but image says Dreamworks.

Ooo! Does the Kung Fu Panda Blu-Ray have a digital copy? Then I'm so buying it.

Bottom line, I like watching movies on portable devices, so if Blu-Rays have digital copies, then I'm so buying them.

Are you like 12? Do you even see any of these movies? Everything is C**P and a waste of time to you, come up with a new line. The SAME post on every movie is old.

As for WALL-E - wth is WRONG with you kids?  You *are* kids, right?  You have to be.  Because WALL-E was hands down one of the best films of the year.  Damn kids....  Damn Xbox generation... have the attention span of a flee.  If c**p isn't FLYING AT YOU at 100MPH, you lose interest.

Fun animated movie, a sequel is already in the works.

This was a ton of fun.  The best sequence was the prison escape.  

Will definitely pick this up on Blu-ray and am hoping that the 'Secrets of the Furious Five" is included as a bonus disc.

I should point out that this isnt released by Universal but rather Paramount, Dreamworks pictures is now under Paramount pictures.

I was hoping to see the Blu-ray cover by now. Its specs should include a TrueHD soundtrack.

p.s WALL-E is easily the best animation this year and it will shine in this years Oscars as Best Animation.

Why do Pixar fans get their panties in a bunch over the mere suggestion that someone liked another movie more so than Pixar’s? I liked Wall-E partly but around a third of the way through it lost me with all the frenetic action and the political commentary.

What's The Secrets of the Furious Five all about?

I enjoyed Kung-Fu Panda AND WALL-E. Other than the fact that they're both kids movies, they're really quite different in terms of the tone and story. Therefore I find it's hard to compare them to one another. And let's face it, if you don't have kids, its more difficult to appreciate kids movies.

This was an all-around enjoyable, funny and entertaining movie that had a really nice style to it and some good action scenes.  I really like the coverart and I am intrigued by the Secrets of the Furious Five DVD.  Will definitely be buying it.

PS- While this was a solid fun and simple movie, WALL-E is way superior.

I liked it, but that's because I can't hate anything with good ol Jack Black in it. Plus, I loved the opening animation. The CG throughout the film was good too. Blu-Ray for me :D

DreamWorks also had a superhero-family movie they canned, clearly because that was too blatant.

I loved Wall-E and liked some of this. I liked Jack Black's reverence of the kung-fu arts, and the visuals were stunning throughout. But as others have said, the story is so dully conventional that I couldn't get into it. And the all-star voice cast is ridiculously underused (Hoffman has a real role, but McShane is like a supporting character, and then Jolie has 20 lines, David Cross 15, Seth Rogen 10, Lucy Liu 5 and Jackie Chan barely even two lines in the entire picture). Hopefully they'll be put to better use in this DTV prequel, or whatever it is.

Am I the only one who thought that, despite some solid animation and a couple neat preformances (mostly Ian McShane), this was a by-the-numbers borefest?

Flat, un-interesting, and offering absolutely nothing innovative, fresh, or worthwhile - Kung Fu Panda had me checking my watch every five minutes and praying fervently that I wouldn't have to listen to one more blandishment about believing in yourself.

WALL-E, on the other hand, is wildly original, deeply moving, perfectly crafted, and endlessly entertaining. Loved it. My #2 favorite film of the year.

Really, if you prefer something this blandly average to something like WALL-E, then I don't care to know you.

are they going to make 2 separate dvds for the movie and the secrets of furious five with their own separate dvd cases?

furious five movie huh?  is that a full length movie or just some short 20-30 min thing?  first time i hear about it and more importantly, will it be included on the blu-ray version?  

but yeah it was a great movie, didnt think i'd like it that much and now we all know what jack would be like as a panda, the world can sleep sound.
