Looked interesting, but all of the reviews I read for it said it was terrible. So this is a possible rental.
What reviews said it was terrible? It's got like an 80% at Rotten Tomatoes, plus an Oscar nom for best screenplay.
I personally loved it and will definitely buy it.

All the reviews I read said it was great. I wanted to see this but the director, Craig Gillespie, kind of scared me away due to the fact he also directed Mr. Woodcock. I'll probably rent this though, mainly because if I were to buy this I would want a feature-packed set, like most DVDs I buy.

awsome artwork.
This movie is close to being perfect IMO. Ryan Gosling should've been nominated for an Oscar for this. Definitely buying this as soon as it's released, in fact, i'll preorder it as fast as i can. That deleted scene has me worried a bit though.
It got very opposing reviews from what I saw... it seems you either love it or hate it...
I've read plenty of positive and negative reviews, and the guy who did the Best and Worst Films of 2007 with Roeper had it on his worst list. Pretty high up if I do recall.

cool! i wanna see this!
This was really good. Roeper is an idiot.
Although it most certainly is NOT a comedy.

It's decent.
This is one that I'm sad to say I missed in theaters, but I will definitely blind-buy it. The like the coverart, but it looks a bit too photoshopped behind that bright pink background.
OK, first things first. The reviews were mostly good. It wasn't split down the middle love it or hate it. RT gave it a fresh certifiable 79%. And the user/viewer rating on IMDB is 8.1/10. I've seen it, and it's a great film. Full of great great performances.
Definite rent, reminds me of the movie "DUMMY" with Adrien Brody and Vera Farmiga, I liked it but it was definitely strange and peculiar just like this ones seems to be.
I saw this movie for free in theaters...it was pretty good & def deserves any and all awards it gets....it'll be nice to hear what everyone thinks since this was in very limited release
I'd love to know the name of the critic who put it on his 10 worst list because all the reviews I've read were good to excellent. It's number three on my 10 BEST, right after 4,3,2 and INTO THE WILD. Too bad it's so light on features, a commentary would have been nice.
Should have won best screenplay and should have had a nomination for Ryan G. Great movie!
This has got to be the best movie of 2007! I don't buy movies. Only TV/DVDs, but this is a must!!!
Just watched this film this afternoon and it's incredibly moving. It's a definate buy for me and up there as one of my faves of 2008 so far.
