Very good cover, although they went a little overboard, especially with the "From the creators of . . ." circular banner.
I enjoyed the film and look forward to seeing it uncut, as I've only ever watched the previous UK special edition. It'll be interesting to see what the newly discovered footage is, too.

I own the R2 release from a few years back but this is without a doubt, a must buy. Excellent artwork and good extras. Well done Metrodome!

How can it be rare when its sold shops around the world, and it was included in previous The Last House on the Left release also ?
Well the previous release (on UK Region 2) was cut by the BBFC, so that wasnt uncut. AFAIK, the UK DVD was the only version to contain this rare cut, so this will be the first time it is uncut anywhere.
Im glad the BBFC have finally let this be released uncut.

It was like "I Spit On Your Grave" but with a much shorter and rubbish revenge scene.
I agree... I could barely make it through this, and that sure wasn't because it was "shocking". I just didn't find any aspect of it deserving of the praise it gets. I Spit On Your Grave is miles better than this, and much more disturbing as well.

wow the bbfc has finally got sum balls.i might get this as i sold my region 1 version a couple of years ago.
so is this like full circle or something for wes craven and sean cunningham?
they made this together and then went on to create Elm St. and Friday and then Friday gets a remake, Elm St. is in the midst of getting one and now House has gotten one as well with Wes's involvement.

Even though we had the 2-disc Anchor Bay version as a review copy, might be worth picking this one up.
As much as we really like the movie, the temptation to put it into a Mac and edit out the "wackier" elements is still very strong.
