It was a decent movie until the lame ending.

For the unrated, does that say 110, or 118? Can anyone tell? Cause if it's just 1 min, then it's a waste, but if it's 9 more minutes, I might rent it
Are they seriously releasing the unrated cut ONLY on Blu-Ray? I have a Blu-Ray player but that's just plain wrong.

Blu Ray sucks anyway
Blu Ray sucks anyway
I actually wanted to wait for the BD release for this one. Hopefully there will be an unrated director's cut on DVD too but hopefully the Blu-Ray will contain both versions.

118.
118.
Thats awesome that blu ray is getting the exclusive directors cut. I really enjoyed this movie. The ending was kinda stupid but hopefully the unrated cut turns out better.
I like the movie but probably won't get it on DVD or Blu-Ray. As for the ending, I really liked it but no one I know seems to feel the same way. Everyone I know hated it because they wanted pure bloodshed.
This "unrated cut only on Blu-ray" nonsense really has to stop. It's not making me upgrade to Blu-ray, it's just making me use torrent sites more, because I'm damned if I'm buying edited, cinema-friendly DVDs.
Why does that cover remind me of Righteous Kill with Pacino/Deniro? I'm guessing it's the colors on the cover and the grain. Anyway I missed this at the theater so I will give it a rent.

Well, Target will probably release the Director's Cut on an excusive DVD. I mean, they did do that with Terminator Salvation.
& the exclusive Unrated Directors' Cut on Blu-ray continues!!!! Someone, stop the madness!!!
I thought it was actually pretty good. Will pick up

Well, to each his own, I suppose.

Blu Ray is actually a very beautiful, vibrant way to way movies. And, with the costs of them and the players going down, I don't see why more people don't have them. Wal Mart sells the new released blu rays almost all the time now for the same price as a standard dvd. And, if you catch a sell, you can get a blu ray player for 80 bucks and an hdmi cable for 5 on amazon.com

Other than high definition and some new special features, what does it really offer that I couldn't get on regular DVD?

First of all, does it really need any more? HD and more features alone should be enough. Anyhow, the menus are better (especially the pop-up menus), the cases take up less room, you get BD-Live features on certain discs. Really though the improved picture quality alone should be enough, because at the end of the day you're using the discs to watch movies and the movies look much better in HD. The other features are cool, but that's just an added bonus.
Man, Blu-Ray is taking over.

Jesus, do we really need another Blu Ray vs DVD debate again? If you have a player, then great, if not then continue to buy DVD.
Really a commentary track for an F Gary Gray film? I seriously doubt he's on the commentary track since he has never done one in his previous films.

Hey guys if you don't own a BD-Player for whatever reason and if you don't want to own one (?) that's fine. Still there is no reason for that immature Blu-ray bashing. If you you are happy with DVD's, fine. Still it doesn't change that BD's have a superior picture and (most of the times) sound quality compared to DVD's. If you really want to have that or need that is a completely different story but still it's a fact.

What are you saying exactly? You think DVD is better quality?

Really, whether or not Blu-Ray is worth it depends entirely on the viewer. Some people will go out of their way to have a perfect viewing experience, or to have the film better represent the filmmakers' intentions. Some just want to watch the damn movie. Some are in-between, and some have other views. So, we don't need an argument about this.

VHS sucks. DVDs are okay. Blu-Ray's awesome. Blu-Ray/DVD Combos = pure wins.
Blu-Ray for this one would only be good if they add both the Rated and Unrated version together.

Yeah, that's true. That's why HD-DVDs are obsolete. I still like Blu-Ray/DVD Combos.

99% of the people who bashes blu-ray are people that can't afford it.
as for the user "King". he's just a troll that goes around these boards tellling people that he still prefers VHS over any other format including DVD. I'm sure he's just bored and still being breast-fed by his mother.

I have The Dark Knight on VHS
I'm a democratic fellow, so if more people want me to ban King than not, I will. Vote now.
