I'm pretty sure I saw this in Target about a month ago. Strange.
What the f**k is this?
Yes, this has been available at Target for about the past month now. Never heard of it myself before I saw it on the shelf either.

Is he a what? Did we just wake up in the 1800's or something...
Anyway I heard of this a while ago but never got around to checking it out. With LA coming soon there will be alot of L&O to catch up on.

I've seen the first 5 episodes and enjoyed it so I might end up getting this... maybe. I enjoy all of the Law and Order series but never buy 'em on dvd.
This is going to DVD here before it airs on TV? Weird. I figured with the "Law and Order" brandname that some station would have picked it up over here at least.
This has been in Tartget since the end of March (3-23-2010). I love this show- better than the US versions of L&O (but I love british crime drama anyway and I'm burned out on L&O episodes long time ago).
This is only the first season, Target had the exclusive Two Season Set which is still available. Most of the episodes are remake from the original series. The guy in leather is a lawyer, that's what the Lawyers in the UK wear (along with wigs) in the courts.

I think you'll find that the Target versions contain the same number of episodes as this set. Although the 13 episodes were made in one block as "series one", ITV split them into two shorter blocks for broadcast and then released them in the UK as "series one" and "series two".

Every single episode was based off a previously aired L&W US episode, so I don't really see how the UK version can be so much "better". It's got a solid cast, at least.
I'll rent this. I love the original L&O, but from what few episodes of this I saw, they just copied early episodes of the original show, so there were no surprises. What a letdown, although it is fascinating to get a glimpse into the British Legal System.
They basically remade a bunch of old "L&O" episodes in a random order, only with a ton more over-the-top melodrama injected into the stories. Seriously, when it comes to witness stand breakdowns, preachy speeches and scene chewing freakouts, "Law & Order: UK" blows "Law & Order: SVU" out of the water!
