This film appears to be a Mandarin-native release, yet the specs only mention Cantonese tracks... weird.

Have been looking forward to this movie, hope its as good as the trailer.
Zhang Zi-Yi is such a hotty and she could so kick my ass.
Every movie that she is in usually is amazing.

DD has written the wrong language on the box before, though I can't remember which release.

Probably pick this one up, as I generally like these Chinese martial arts epics over the modern Jackie Chan-type movies.
Daniel Wu (guy on the left) is the future of the genre. I'd be really surprised if he didn't become a crossover star here in the states...
Though, maybe he shouldn't seeing as what American cinema has done to Jackie and Jet's careers...

What a ludicrous title though. The original title was "The Banquet" did that translate badly?
This is an adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet for crying out loud! There's no legend and no black scorpions whatsoever in this. Dragon Dynasty made this up but... man... what were they thinking? Or drinking?
But the movie is quite good and thankfully Zhang Zi-Yi looks a lot better than that cover suggests.

My HK DVD is Mandarin only (no Cantonese) and runs 131 minutes (NTSC) so lets hope both are mistake!
Why the dumb re-title again? It's not as if The Banquet is a bad name. At least before they had the excuse that SPL doesn't translate well. What's going to be their excuse this time?
It otherwise looks good. It's a pity there is no Zhang Ziyi extras, especially now she can speak decent English.

They've also released DVDs with the wrong language. Their "My Young Auntie" should've been Cantonese but they released it with just Mandarin or English.

Oh god please no. Hollywood hasn't got a CLUE what to do with Asian talent!
p.s - It's listed as 126 minutes on DD's website. It's not looking good:
