I heard some great things about this and I can't wait to pick it up. It seems like all of the good horror movies of late, are coming from overseas (Frontier(s), Ils, Haute Tension, [REC]).
Haute Tension, should be banned for depicting violence in cinema that proved no logic and sensibility whatsoever.
now [REC] on the other hand proves to BE what a Horror movie must retain of, heavy sense in its story.

YAY! This movie is soooooo awesome! I can't wait!
I agree with everyone else that this is one can't wait for.

Almost all North American horror films as of late completely suck. I absolutely loved Frontier(s) and [REC], especially Frontier(s). It's extremely underrated and one of the most impressive Horror pictures I've seen in a long time. Haute Tension was undeniably entertaining, but as a Cohesive film completely failed (what were the screenwriters thinking).
But "Let The Right One In" is so far superior to anything else released in the genre (and arguably almost everything in any genre) in the last little while that it's hard to picture how many moviegoers will go without even hearing of it. I hope people catch on when it hits DVD/BLU RAY.

I loved this movie!! Will be buying ASAP.
This is the cover art for the Swedish BD:

No deleted scenes or behind-the-scenes featurettes are listed for the Swedish release. We do get an audio commentary and "four different trailers" though.
I don't know what i'd rather have: the deleted scenes or the audio commentary. Tought choice, might end up buying both.
Awesome film btw!

Very good film. I will buy it.
And for the record, I loved HIGH TENSION and INSIDE. Though honestly, the only thing these movies have in common with this one is that they're foreign films. LET THE RIGHT ONE in is not your typical horror film. I hesitate to even call it a horror film.

Agreed, awesome film. The kids in this movie are amazing actors! This is so on my list to buy!
Saw this film a week ago and I read (and loved) the book last year. It is vastly inferior to the book (IMHO) and whilst a lot of people like it, I felt it was just to much a series of moments from the book that didn't flow very well. I will agree the actress playing Eli is excellent and it has a nice, bleak pallette but it misses so much from the book that one very important scene within the book is passed over within seconds in the film. Many say that if the film was almost a literal translation of the book (one sub-plot in particular) it would lose it's credibility but I think it's a real shame that they have gutted the book to such an extent. The film (to me at least) plays as a straight drama, whilst the book is childhood angst mixed with horror/paedephilia. It's one of the rare ocassions when i'm now intrigued to see how the US deals with the remake because I think there is still a great film to be made from this book.
I enjoyed the movie but couldn't help finding it a little overrated. It was creative, but it just was amazingly awkward at times. I really wish they could have found a way to avoid CGI cats. That scene sticks out and leaves a bad taste in my mouth, while the rest of the movie is very well done.
Still far better than any vampire movie I've seen in years. Well worth a purchase.

I need to see this. The trailer was fantastic and I have heard nothing but good things.
One of my favorite movies of last year. I am currently reading the book and as a previous poster mentioned, there are quite a few things that are in the book not present on film. The writer of the book, wrote the screenplay for the film though, so can't really fault him for perhaps dropping certain subplots that might have hampered the movie down. I don't quite like the cover art, although I am definitely gonna be picking up the Blu!
HIGH TENSION was gory and suspenseful... just alright.
INSIDE was really suspenseful and at some points scary...
THEM was a really good one...
REC i have not seen it...
and right now im adding this to my wish list

Yeah, American horror films really suck. Cheap thrills and zero suspense. I really can't wait to see this one, it's at the top of my Netflix list.
Did they have to put that stupid "hip" quote on the cover? :\
