Title: Let the Right One In (IMDb)
Starring: Lina Leandersson
Released: 3rd August 2009
SRP: £17.99 (DVD) £24.99 (BD)
Further Details:
Momentum Pictures has announced the DVD and Blu-ray release of Let the Right One In for the 3rd of August, priced at around £17.99 and £24.99 respectively. Bonus material will include commentary by Tomas Aldredson and John Ajvide Linqvist and deleted scenes. Artwork can be found below. We've just had confirmation from Momentum that they will be using the theatrical subtitles, not the 'dumbed down' subs found on the US release. Hopefully the Blu-ray will also be the correct 1080/24p and not the 1080/50i found on their release of The Promise.

I'm fairly sure it will. The UK theatrical edition had the correct subs and I can't see them redoing them for this release, especially after the Magnolia fiasco (you have to assume that they are aware of that, although you never know).
*Edit* Momentum has confirmed that they are using the theatrical subtitles.

not a fan of that artwork but it's a good movie!
The Danish BD I have is the Scandinavian version and that has the correct English subtitles so would hope the UK get the same.
Chris Gould wrote: Momentum has confirmed that they are using the theatrical subtitles.Ah, brill news. Great film, lousy artwork. They really should have gone with the poster artwork of Eli's silhouette behind the glass.
Preferred the UK Theatrical art. Cracking film though. Will definitely pick this up.
Best vampire/teen movie ive seen in a long time! Think of it as Twilight except done perfectly
Hope the Blu Ray gets a better artwork and also can anyone who has the DVD say if the commentary track is any good?

I really need to see this. I enjoy a good vamp film.
Best film of the year so far better than Twilight. The artwork needs to change hopefully.
Of course it's better than Twilight. Twilight was made for teenage girls.

Thats what i said lol - Twilight sucks and is gay!
LTROI does not... Its genious!
By the way, whats with the zombie pose Eli does in the door on the cover? It looks comical XD

Most important question: will the BD be Zone B locked?
'Cause frankly I'm tired of waiting for the second Magnolia pressing...

Really mediocre film of a great book... and what the hell is with that artwork. It's awful!!

How the f**k is Twilight gay if it's made for girls you idiot!!!
And as for LTROI being genius... f**k off! It's piss poor compared with the novel! Oh and didn't you realise Eli is a castrated boy, so it's essentially two boys falling in love... can't recall seeing two boys get it on in Twilight!

For a guy with the name "Lost Highway" (a Lynch fav of mine) you sure do disappoint me with your defense of Twilight, and calling LTROI "piss poor".
I've read the book, and while I admit that it goes into a lot more details than the movie does, what is shown in the movie is much more fitting for the film medium. The screenplay was even written by the book author. A lot of the more mature stuff in the book would just alienate movie goers, and wouldn't fit in the run time. The way the movie hints at them is more than enough for me.

Girls can be gay too.

It's a film, they don't have to be exactly the same as the novels that inspire them. Jurassic Park has very little to do with the book, but all that chaos theory wouldn't have gone down too well in a Spielberg family flick.

Well obviously, i was merely poiting out the rather latent homphobia going on in his comment.

Have you read the book? Imo the film was changed for the worse as it missed some fine moments out and totally screwed up the paedophile/Hakan storyline.

David Lynch is one of my fave directors but I can't actually see where i've defended Twilight in my comment!? I didn't particularly like Twilight and was not comparing it with LTROI at all - i was trying point out how offensive using the word 'gay' to mean s**t is to those of us on this site/forum who are actually gay!
As for the author writing the screenplay, that is what is so unbelieveably sad about LTROI - he has gutted his own work and for what... a disjointed mess of a movie which misses out some of the best parts of the novel and turns what was essentially a 'pulp novel' into an arthouse feature. It's c**p! As for the more mature aspects of the novel alienating moviegoers, well i'm sure they wouldn't mind a vampire/zombie hybrid in a basement!!??
I'm a HUGE fan of LTROI novel - best book I read in 2008 but i'm afraid I really can't jump on the bandwagon regarding praising the film. It was a total disappointment.

Your word choice (f**k and idiot) gave your statement about Twilight a very defensive fanboyish tone. Sorry if I misread it. I'm actually quite relieved that you don't like it. Nobody with the good sense to love Lynch should be into Twilight.

Hopefully this edition will contain the accurate translation. I will wait to make sure though.
