My dream will come true when rebel without a cause gets the BD treament with bluraybook as well. I think that'd be the perfect film for it.
First day buy for me. I LOVE this movie. Saw it three time in the movie houses at the time because in Germany for whatever reason the soundtrack wasn't available yet and I love the songs.
It's good that it has the theatrical version that we all grew up with. Now, if we can just get the 3 Honey I Shrunk The Kids movies on blu-ray, Moranis fans will be all set....well, if they ever get around to putting the MST3K-style for Ghostbusters commentary on blu-ray. That's why I'll never get the blu-ray.
I have very faint memories of seeing the VHS tape of this movie as a kid. Might have to pick this up and get reaquainted with this film...
We're guessing that only the ending will be different, and some of the other bits and peices that weren't in the final cut aren't going to be reinstated (the fact that there is a deleted scenes section press), and this will probably include the adagio section of The Meek Shall Inherit, which can be heard on the soundtrack album.
If you've ever watched the original ending, then you will know that it goes on for an age and was probably an assembly edit of all the footage shot - hopefully this will be re-edited into something shorter an snappier.

I love this movie and I can't WAIT for this! Wish the cover art weren't so generic though.
I really miss John Candy.
FINALLY! Just the other day I was dreaming that someday, producer David Geffen would realize that what the true Little Shop fans really want is the Director's Cut of this amazing musical to be fully remastered and available to own! It is my favorite Musical of all time and for the film to receive such a new treatment is long overdue. Thank you to David Geffen and Frank Oz for finally making the dream a reality this Fall!
the animatronics for the plant are still amazing today. its the lip synch that really sells it.
Always seen bits and pieces (of the film, not the victims) here and there, but never the movie as a whole, so I'm tempted to say day one purchase for me!!!
Sweetness. Given how well Warner tends to treat their catalog releases, I am looking foreword to this.
Side-note: Oddly enough, their catalog releases are typically better than their modern ones. The Potter movies look great and everything, but they still show a s**t-ton of edge-enhancement and even some DNR.

Suggested retail prices are always a bit outrageous. I'd expect it to be in the $20-$25 range on release.
