I agree with Phil92 Straight to video is always horrible. And STV (straight to video) sequels are more gore and more pointless.
I am sort of interested.
COREY!!!!!
Corey Haim's listed on the IMDb page but not on the DVD cover. Odds are he buys it in the opening scene.
The "and" added to Corey Feldman's credit is a bit ominous as well. I reckon he'll die saving the day at the end.
No need to watch it now, guys

Lame
I don't know why... but I suspect this may suck
the "and" credit is just used because he's the bigger name of the bunch. they do this all the time for movies, its usually used when some really big actor/actress make an appearance. although just this summer i noticed shia lebeouf get that credit for Indy which seemed odd, if anyone in that movie deserved it, it woulda been Cate Blanchett.
aaanyway all this to say attaching "and" isnt a hint of Corey's fate, its just to show who the bigger celebrity is. maybe he does die and all but that credit has nothing to do with it.
as for the movie itself, while it does look DTV based on the trailer, it still looks interesting and my love for the original will make me check this out. but i think its weird how the other Frog brother isnt on the cover. i mean its the same actor from the original and i assume he's a main character so he deserved a spot.

I've seen the trailer and it looks pretty good to me. I wish they'd package it with the 2 disc set of the original film. I never bought it and now would be a good time to get it.

I'll pass, but I am slightly intrigued.
I dunno man, I f**kin love the original & have came across most Haim & Feldman movies during the growing up years, but this ha cash in all over it. Though I am strangely drawn towards it.
Not bad cover art to be fair.

I'll definetely skip this. DTV sequels are always c**ppy.
According to the back cover, this is a "reimagining"... which seems to be the latest euphemism for "remake".
ENOUGH! These "remimaginings" are troublesome and pointless. The original was quite good in that 80's way. I really don't get why we can't leave stuff well enough alone.

yeah i noticed that word in the description too. but i dont think they mean a remake in this case, because this is definately a sequel. but i think by reimagining, they just meant that it was a modern take on the first movie's mythology. that would explain why the vampire makeup is different.

I dunno, I just don't think putting Corey Feldman and a DVD extra called with the word "Junkies" in it is a good idea.
If it's ever in the bargain bin.$27 sounds a bit much for a DTV. Even if it is a sequel to one of my favorite vampire movies. This was filmed in my hometown too.I have visited that beach boardwalk many times and even saw a special screening of The Lost Boys last summer on the beach in front of the boardwalk. That was so surreal.
So, this gets a Blu-ray release but the original doesn't?
oh god no please save us from bad seqels
not worth paying a full price at the box office
there is always netflixs lol

How the f*ck can a DTV release which was not released theatrically be uncut? It's never been released cut. Stupid f*cking companies!
I had low hopes for this movie, but if Coredy Fieldman is in the movie,I at least have to give it a shot!!!
I think that movie looks awesome by the trailer, so I'm definitely picking this up, or maybe getting it through NetFlix.

yeah i know what you mean, and sadly this isnt the first or last DTV claiming to be uncut.

Well, I'm interested and I'm going to check it out. I don't know what the problem is with you cynics and hating on something that isn't even out yet. Wait until the final product is released, then, pass judgement. Then, your point stands. As for this DVD, I saw the original when I was younger, so, I might check this out for the hell of it.

Just according to the MPAA. They probably had to submit it for a rating and got one version past the censors. Then to up the market value, they are releasing this "uncut" version. Same thing for all the "American Pie Presents" movies and all. My guess is that they have to put the R-rated version out there so that the cable networks can play it, and hey, the uncut version's out there too... which will probably amount to a few more blood splatters, maybe some "movement of the innards" (which is what got "Scream" slapped with an X before they edited that part out), and maybe a few extra seconds of boobs. Who knows?

yeah, the sutherland in this movie is Kiefer's half-brother. i wouldnt be shocked if they make his character a brother of david's...so its a whole revenge thing against the frog brothers. lol

People actually liked the trailer? Come on man! It looked like a bunch of "extreme" teenagers on suzuki motorcycles doing tricks and yelling out catch phrases from the mid 90s. Ugh, no thanks.

I am in the crowd that wants to see it for the hell of it because I loved the origina so much. Plus I thought the trailer looked alright. Don't know if it is worth a buy though.
