Maybe the 6th season will be a complete flashback of the whole series...

They look a little washed out on the cover, but their artwork is usually great with the clear slips, so I'm not worried.

First of all, it's going to cost $39.99-49.99 on release week.  Also, if your a fan of the show, then paying the same amount for 14 episodes with bonus features shouldn't be a huge deal.  Also, remember this season was originally supposed to be 16 episodes, so we're only 2 short of the original order.

Second, tanviper is referring to the shortened # of episodes compared to the previous 3 seasons.

Ten bucks says that when you slide the outer case off, the oceanic six remain on the outside portion.

Without going into spoilers, how has Season 4 been?  I just wrapped up 3 and I'm getting ready to fire up 4 off my Tivo any day now.  Did it pick back up?  Is it still kind of slow?  What are your thoughts?  Thanks!

I will buy it. And I will get the exclusive dvd wherever that might be. I am seriously enjoying this season and am glad for the extra hour. It is a bit cheeky to have the same price on this, but I know that won't affect me getting it. Lost rules.

If they fixed the head thing, it would be the most beautiful cover out of the four (since the first one.)

the show isnt even finished its season and its already been announced?  wow....i mean the date isnt a surprise, i figured they'd release it around then but to announce it already? man...lol

as for the expanded experience thing....thats just because if you've watched the show on television, since season 2 a few episodes last a few mins longer so it ends up being like 1hr5-7mins with commercials.

Season 4 is going to be 14 episodes.  They filmed 8 episodes Pre-strike and originally planned to shoot 5 more making it 13 total.  However, ABC green lighted 1 more episode (I read Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof wrote an extra long script for the finale that needed 1 more episode) and the season finale on May 29th will be episodes 13 and 14.

The lighting is off I believe because I think they highlighted the characters who are a part of the "oceanic 6" and the characters who aren't are darker... just something I noticed. Any word on if this box has that clear plastic sleeve on it like the rest of the seasons? Also, does it say how many discs it is? My guess is 5. and 4 for the blu-ray.

What does the "expanded" experience mean?  I've got all three seasons and I was curious if they're talking about the extras included, or if they re-inserted a *tiny* bit of footage back in.  And I'll just grumble a bit while I'm at it about having to pay full season prices for a half a season worth of episodes.  Okay, so maybe a bit more than half.  But when you're paying the same amount for 24 episodes, it's irratating that they expect you to pay the same amount for 14 episodes...  Oh well... my two cents.  I'll pick it up when it's on sale for $20 or something...

wow....a 6 month wait....im a huge fan of the series...but totally missed season 4....was this the last season(no spoilers please) and did the writers strike effect it....

How can they STILL not figure out not to photoshop heads on to bodies?!?! Sayid and Kate look awkward as hell and Hurley's not much better...
