I wanna see artwork. Been patently waiting on it.
I can't wait to see the sixth season again on DVD. I'm enjoying it on TV as it airs.

this is just a guess but......i think they might be waiting for the show to end before showing the cover art because it'll be sorta spoiler-ish. at least in the case of the complete series, not sure about the individual season 6.

They've had the Blu-Ray up on Amazon with temp art for some time now. For those worried about price, it's been listed just under $200 for the past 3 months. That number almost universally goes down closer to release, so I'm waiting until then.
Oh, and this season has rocked hard.

Spoiler-ish? What would it spoil? For all Seasons they normally use all the characters from the current season as the cover and in big letters the shows title and the Season title. I doubt that be any spoiler.

well like i said, i dont see the individual season doing that but the complete set could reveal some visual thing about the island. i'm not sure if you've seen the temp art yet but it shows the island under a giant blanket. so maybe the final cover will have it removed and show us something thats related to the end.

That's only a promo photo, not necessiraly the Blu-ray's cover.

They can't spoil anything with the box art because they know a lot of people may wait to watch it for the first time on video.
If the complete has some good packaging, I can see me going for it.
Better be Region Free :D

well it'll be a disney/buena vista release so if they usually release region free titles you should be good to go.

If they just reuse the old discs for the first seasons, season 3 and 4 would be region A only, while 1, 2 and 5 are region-free. 3 and 4 were the oldest releases and there was a large gap in the schedule between region A and B, while 1, 2 and 5 were almost released concurrently (B came actually first for season 5).
So, it would be safe to say that season 6 will be region free but that the complete boxset will likely feature two locked seasons.

I'm wondering if it's worth pre-ordering on Amazon for the pre-order price guarantee. In case the price goes up?

well you can always pre-order it and then wait until the day before its released and cancel then if the price went up and never went back down or if you found it cheaper elsewhere.

Is an SRP of $80 just for the DVD typical? Maybe I never noticed, but I'm so used to them being $40-$50, that it seemed shocking to me.
Yes.
The DVD is way over-priced and this is a shorter season. They better have that packed with a load of extras and a ticket or voucher for Evangeline Lilly to come over to your house.

NOBODY ever sells for the SRP so dont even worry about that. so yes the individual season will be in the 40-60 dollar range depending where you are. as for the complete series, well the american amazon lists it at 194.99 for blu and 149.99 for dvd so its already cheaper than the SRP. and i'm sure it'll go down again since amazon prices tend to yo-yo a lot.

So the last episode was divisive (as it should be), but I thought it was fantastic. It really didn't answer any long-standing questions, but I honestly couldn't care less. It was completely emotionally satisfying, hopeful yet heartbreaking, and I can't wait to revisit it when the set comes around in August.
So it'll be the whole Blu-ray boxset for me then.
I have only seen one or two episodes. So bummed. Might have to pick this up.
Another damn complete series set with exclusive features. Hate that. Where's the reward for fans who've been buying all the way through?
Please god make this Region Free... xD

Dudes, sorry for the double post! I forgot i commented already... Anyway unless the Region B complete set wont be inferior to the US one (remember X-Files?), i hope they remove the Region Lock on Season 3 and 4. Huge Lost fan btw!
Agreed
agreed, the series end was very good. So much left for interpretation...

just one of many of Ben's lies? i mean with everything we've seen of him since that episode, totally seems like something he'd say to "seem cool" you know? lol
are they actually using the original disc art? come on, they couldnt create some new art just for the collection? they did that with the Angel box set, the art matched throughout all 5 seasons so you could tell it was part of one collection. of course they didnt change the content as it was still the same old menus but thats ok. lol
but yeah, was expecting something similar in this case. its a minor nitpick to be sure but both the Buffy and Alias complete sets kept the original art and it always bugs me when seeing them.
i'm anal i know. lol

i remember reading the blu-ray was just in the 280 range. hopefully places like amazon or something have really cheap prices cuz i've been waiting for this since they announced the show was ending during Season 3. i even stopped buying the dvd sets, luckily i only had the two first seasons and they were gifts so. lol
