A buy for me. Jessica is so sexy.
Easily one of my favorite movies of the year. BR purchase for sure.
Nice cover art. Robert De Niro looks like he did in "Casino". I will pick this up, excited to see it.
I loved Machete, can't wait to get this.
Nice cover art, can't wait to finally see this!
nightmareb, i agree that us REGULAR DVD'ers get dicked over regarding bonus features. it pisses me off too. that's why i don't buy dvd's UNLESS it's a rare occasion. very rare. that being said, i was pleasantly surprised by MACHETE! it was a lot of fun and MUCH better than i was anticipating. maybe that's the key. go into it not expecting very much and you might leave quite happy with what you see? also, when i heard Segal and Don Johnson and even Lohan, i was like "yuck" but Rodriguez managed to make them quite watchable! especially Johnson. the ONLY thing that seemed off to me was Savini's character (who's supposed to be the "big bad" in this, didn't really even have a big throwdown with Machete? it seemed like they were building up to a big fight but...nothing. but still enjoyable, fun movie!

Sadly, that's the case. This film isn't as nearly balls-to-the-wall crazy action as you might have been led to believe. All the craziness is shown in the trailers (the REAL trailers), while everything in between is boring with a capital "B".
Plus, you can totally tell that Robert Rodriguez didn't have much to do with this movie despite being billed as co-director. I'm pretty damn sure the only things he contributed to this movie in a directorial sense were the scenes from the original trailer that were spliced into this film. Everything else was from Ethan Maniquis and that's too bad. Not to knock Maniquis or anything (he certainly doesn't do a bad job by any means), but this film could've been amazing if it had Rodriguez behind the camera. Maniquis just doesn't have Rodriguez's sense of style and energy and this film could've been balls to the wall fun if it had Rodriguez's energy and passion (you can just tell he loves Machete), instead of just "fun".

I wanted to see this really bad, but had kind of a bad accident, around the time it came out and it was gone by the time I fully recovered. I'll probably wind up get that and the Grindhouse Blu-ray around the same time. LOL @ Danny Trejo and his rough looks. It was kinda funny how Jessica Alba and Michelle Rodriguez looked like they didn't really wanna take pictures with him, at the premiere for the movie.
That cover's better than the movie.
Finally! Someone does some decent cover art!
Yes Jeff Fahey should probably be on there (as well as Lindsay Lohan) not sure why they need the fake lens flare but I'm not complaining, could have been so much worse.

This seems like the cross between Once Upon A Time In Mexico and Planet Terror (which is either a good or bad thing) it'll be a few months before we see this in the UK, maybe we'll get a different cover.
That lenses flare is hypnotic...

LOL yeh trejo is rough looking. I agree too about dvds getting the shaft. I have a BD player but sometimes i just want to rent the dvd and it sux b/c i often like special features or at least having the option
Now *there's* a face that wasn't made for HD...
Love love love the cover, the composition is awesome. HOWEVER, that lens flare has to go! lol
This comes out here in 2 weeks so hopefully someone will go with me or I'm going alone :p

Awesome movie. Miss the original art for this though.
Should've been a lot better. No buy for me.
Fun movie..BR purchase for me!
Loved this... wish Jeff Fahey was on the cover though.
Sweet bluray cover i bet it has that old recycled paper feel. This was a pretty bad ass movie. Parts were slow but i can forgive it. Purchase 4 me. January 4th is also my B-day
Steven Seagal and Robert DeNiro in the same film? This is a must-buy!
I liked this movie despite the end beinga little weak. worth buying on blu-ray IMO.
Sweet cover art (except for the Photoshop lens flare).
