Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($29.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($34.98) releases of Mama for May 7th. Extras will include a commentary with Director/Co-Writer Andy Muschietti and Producer/Co-Writer Barbara Muschietti, deleted scenes with Commentary by Director/Co-Writer Andy Muschietti and Producer/Co-Writer Barbara Muschietti, a Birth of Mama featurette, and an original short with introduction by Guillermo del Toro and commentary by Director/Co-Writer Andy Muschietti and Producer/Co-Writer Barbara Muschietti. this movie was ok. nothing special. i DO give them credit for not having the 100% cliche happy ending and Jessica Chastain did a great job (and she looked super gorgeous in black hair and black eye makeup). the 100% CGI (for Mama) was jarring and unnecessary. they should have used either a real actress/actor (and done CGI touch ups if a must) or have just used a real actor/actress with no cgi.

I thought that odd face shape was reminiscent...he played the skinny possessed girl/creature in REC.

Yeah got to agree with other comments, until the appearance of the CGI ghost it was an enjoyable scary movie. CGI always ruins the scare factor.
This movie bored the hell out of me. Generally I like this kind of genre but boy did they misjudge this one...
