Didn't Lustig direct this? I wonder why Blue Underground isn't putting it out.

now that's a great artwork.
He did indeed direct it. I agree it's rather strange this isn't released by Blue Underground but I bet it's a rights issue of some sort.
Please say there's also a Maniac Cop 2 SE DVD on the way!

My God.. one of my favorites as a child.. DEFINATELY buying this
Nice cover not seen this for years. Will be picking this up for sure.No William Lustig commentary still good enough.
oh my god.... what a blast from the past.
hands down GREATEST box art EVER!!!!!!!

I've held off forking over a king's ransom for a used copy the of the Elite disc for a while and have been content with my old VHS copy up until this point, but I think it's high time I give the old tape a dirt nap. Can't wait to get my hands on this one.
I have 2 copies of the film and I don't remember it well so tomorrow,i'm watching it again
They need to release the sequels next!
Gotta get this... Loved this and the sequel.
And how can you say no to a Bruce Campbell commentary?

Wow,I remeber seeing this and the sequels when I was a small kid and loving it,still remember the theme music which is weird because I haven't seen this in over 15 years.
Another Bruce Campbell Classic
Nice cover
Worth it just for the commentary
Bring on "Maniac Cop 2" and "Maniac Cop 3: Badge of Silence"! I have the OOP DVD, but this version looks awesome. Lustig is always making appearances in NYC, so I'll get him to sign it for me... it'll go right next to my signed copy of "Maniac".
Oh hell yes.
I am wondering if this commentary is an all-new track, since it doesn't mention William Lustig? Good thing my current copy of the Elite DVD is just a burn, so if it is, I can keep it without thinking of all the money I would be losing by not selling it.
Yeah I love this movie but I wish it was the boxset but will still buy it anyway.
Cool! Bring on the box set!
I'm kind of curious about this movie. I'd never even heard of it until about a month ago but I really want to see it now. If it's cheap I may blind buy it.
Liked the movie, but the artwork is horrid!
That artwork is garbage. He looks way too skinny and his face looks NOTHING like Robert Z'Dar. They should have used the original (and better) artwork. Only Maniac Cop n00bs would like that cover.
