Really liked this film, but just never got around to buying it. Now that it's out on Blu, I might just have to wait until the price isn't so high. I mean, come on, $40 for a movie thats been out for years?? When they lower the price, I'll buy it.

I saw this in theatres way back when it was released, but never bothered to pick up a copy of it on DVD. I think I'll pick this up on Blu-ray. I think Russell Crowe is bloody great.

Only saw this on Dvd a few months ago, great movie. I really felt like I was on ths ship with them. Give me Capt.Jack Aubrey over Capt Jack Sparrow anyday.

One of my favorites with a bombastic dts track that i demo on a regular basis for my friends. Cant imagine the dts hd being much better? But it probably will be.

It's missing all of the worthwhile extras from the 2-disc set, but providing Fox do a decent job on the transfer, the a/v quality should more than compensate for a film that really is stunning to look it.

For a long time I've been wanting to see the back cover of the Blu-ray edition, and is nowhere to be seen until it's released. Anyways... this was the biggest 'pushed back' Blu-ray ever! I hope that Fox doesn't change their mind about the release date (again)

I really REALLY love this flick. But, the 2-disc standard def is already a fantastic set, so I don't think I'm going to be double dipping. Probably will look fantastic tho.

I imagine it will look and sound vastly better. Extras come much further down the line for me, especially when unlike the other new Fox titles it at least has some extras.

This'll be identical to the UK release, which did indeed look and sound amazing. Scott reviewed it a while back, but alas we couldn't do HD captures then.
