It's the good years of The Office set in family life. People can attach to the characters easily, it has a successful formula, and the writing is not spectacular but it's consistently funny. Vthus last season was just okay but seasons 1 & 2 are great!
Although I'm not a fan of this show, I do understand what the fuss is all about over it. 20 years ago, anybody who came up with the concept of this show would have been laughed right out of a TV execs boardroom. I know Ed O'Neill loves coming to work and getting up-close and personal with Sofia Vergara's funbags everyday...
What he said.
I dont care much for this show. I laugh at some stuff(when I watch it) but the characters get on my last nerves after a while. Ed o'neil was in one of my favorite sitcoms tho. Married with children. This one is just Meh

Repeat that phrase "...still don't see what all the fuss is about" in a few years and you'll have a better understanding what all the fuss is about.
