Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced My Mom's New Boyfriend which stars Antonio Banderas, Meg Ryan, Colin Hanks, and Selma Blair. The new comedy will be available to own from the 17th June, and should retail at around $24.96 in total. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include deleted scenes, and The Third Degree: The Making of My Mom's New Boyfriend featurette. The artwork is attached:

Sounds like a pretty stupid movie. Colin Hanks, sadly, is NO Tom Hanks. He sure didn't inherit his father's great acting ability.

well tom wasnt considered a good actor until he started doing more serious movies. his son has a few years to go before he reaches the age tom was when that happened so he still has a shot. of course straight to video c**p isnt helping but hey, least he's working. lol

The movie's written & directed by George Gallo. He's needs to bring a good action-comedy to theaters and this isn't it. Sounds OK, but, still.
Hey, I think Colin Hanks is a good actor. His taste in projects may be terrible, but that doesn't mean HE sucks.
Though he got off to a bit of a slow start, I thought he caught his stride with the under-rated Orange County....what happened after that??

I saw the trailer to this on a Sony DVD not long ago. It looked pretty lame (poor Meg needs a hit - something to get her career back on track). They were probably better off not releasing it in theaters. It would have bombed. I'll give it a rent anyway though.

I was thinking the same thing. Good actor who makes bad choices. There's a lot of them out there, and a lot of mediocre actors who get incredibly lucky with their choices.

Maybe he needs to star in an AIDS flick or portray a man with difficulties first hehe. I haven't seen OC or anything else with Hanks, but remember Tom started off with goofball movies like Money Pit & the legendary Bachelor Party.
There are great actors there who chose very destructive paths, look at Dennis Hopper, Martin Sheen & Christopher Plummer, all who have around 100 DTV abominations to their credits against a few diamonds, but they are still fine actors.
