There already is a movie called "The Stoned Age" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111293/ seems IMDB gets it confused as well with the posters. It's probably better then all of this NL dribble flooding DTDVD shelves these days.
yes--at least near me. i live in la
it was called homo erectus

Is the guy on the left trying to look like James Franco in Pineapple Express?
There was a movie called The Stoned Age in the '90s. Not very original.

this was in theaters?
I saw this when it was in theaters and it was actually pretty funny. Ali Larter was so hot!
Was doing some sorting and found out something.
The current issue of Penthouse has an article on the movie. And a pictorial themed pictorial; which is probably more entertaining than the actual film.

Haha. I love how the people who keep making this trash think this is any good. If there intention was to make it awful then they fail because people aren't going to waste $29.99 on this c**p when they can spend it on The dark knight, Mamma Mia, Burn after reading, and ect.

I would give her change in exchange for a little something. I think most people know what that something is. But that would make her a prostitute.
Anyway, to this movie I say: Meh. It can't be worse than anything the guys who made Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and Disaster Movie pass off as entertainment. I'm not saying I'll get it or rent it though. "Comedies" such as this do not interest me, mainly because they just seem so sad and desperate. Oh, and National Lampoon needs to stop buying rights to movies, period. In fact, they should just cease operations. It astounds me how National Lampoon can stay in business but Tartan can't.

Ali Larter, are things THAT bad that you have to be in a Nation Lampoon film? Damn, you must be on the streets asking people for change.
what is the point?
is there really people out there walking through video stores, coming across this and saying " jee, doesnt this just look swell."
ahhh.

It's clearly not apparent to everyone, so I'd like to point out in fairness to Adam Rifkin's movie (and several others, regardless of how bad they are), they are NOT ACTUALLY NATIONAL LAMPOON MOVIES. NATIONAL LAMPOON DOES NOT PRODUCE EVEN A THIRD OF THE PRODUCT THAT HAS ITS BRANDING.
As the poster above me stated, this was originally called Homo-Erectus and I guess to try and pander to...well, based on this thread, nobody at all, some marketing goon got the go-ahead to slap the Lampoon logo on there. Animal House, the Vacations, Van Wilder, and a couple others peppered in here and there are the only legitimate National Lampoon movies.
Ali Larter is hot.

You know, I like Adam Rifkin, I thought "Detroit Rock City" was really funny, so this might be the exception to the National Lampoon rule, I actually saw the trailer for this I think almost 2 years ago and the title was *sigh* "Homo-Erectus"
What in the world is Ali Larter doing in this? She's pretty much ruined any credibility Heroes gave her by appearing in this.
if it's "Pre-Hystarical" wouldn't that mean this movie takes place JUST before the actual Hystarical I.E: Comedy, Happens?!
Guess they made this in the 5 minutes that 10,000B.C. looked like it might have been a hit. Now they've just spoofed a film (and genre) that nobody actually cares about now.
Good move.
Good move.
these movies are just awful now. the last decent one was van wilder...the last great one was christmas vacation
Mr. White, there is a DVD of James Melkonian's "The Stoned Age" out there. It has the trailer and director / writer commentary. Not a full blown SE, but a worthwhile purchase.

I was hoping it was a special edition of the Dazed and Confused rip off "Stoned Age", now I'd buy that for a dollar!
David Carradine, like John Travolta before him, has finally squandered the career revival beset upon him by Tarantino's guiding hand.
I guess Heroes isn't paying enough.
"you'd hafta be stoned to even consider renting this movie"
Well... It's got Ali Larter and, in my book, that's as good a reason as any. ;-D

National Lampoon have now gone below where I thought no company could ever reach....
Saw the trailer for this a while back. Looks Pre-Horrible.
Pre-Hysterical, seriously? Pass, if this isn't keeping a dead franchise alive for only the money then i don't know what it is.
you'd hafta be stoned to even consider renting this movie
i'm still waiting for National Lampoon's Beating a Dead Horse to the Ground...the Unrated version of course.

LOL. Unrated in an extra minute....... Honestly, what's the point.
