Great film. I think that 44 page booklet and Anamorphic WS has sold it. The old Lionsgate release was non-Anamorphic, so that also helps.

Anamorphic DVD finally? Cross another one off the list
Gotta re buy this on blu for directors cut.
Damn, going to have to re-buy this movie for the third time, already went through the standard release, then the director's cut. But this film is SO worth it! It has to be one of my favorite movies!
I just hope they atleast to something fancier this time around, card board sleeve or something PLEASE! The last two releases look so bland.

Arse, only got the standard version the other day. Weren't Warner originally opposed to releasing the DC? I though they had some NC-17 policy, which is why it was originally released by Trimark?

It sure was, but the extremely bland generic white disc has the Lions Gate logo.

I'm glad they thought of us DVD owners... If only some other editions of other movies would be so kind... Anyway, it's nice knowing we still get some new stuff around and not just Blu exclusive.
Time to replace the ol' Director's cut DVD. Great film- can't wait for this.
Sweet! I have never seen the director's cut of Natural Born Killers, and I'm glad I didn't buy the first Blu-ray release of the theatrical version. Day one purchase for me!
I'm glad I held off on buying that Blu-ray book edition with the theatrical cut too. I was hoping against hope for this and hope came through. Now, I hope the director's cut of Army of Darkness is released on Blu-ray. That new edition only has the theatrical version, which pisses me off.
Meh, bought the first Blu already. I didn't think Warner has the rights to the DC. But I'll get the DC anyway, probably will try and sell the old Digibook one '
I really loved this movie and was, for years, contemplating on whether to go for the anamorphic dvd or the non-anamorphic director's cut. Now I need to wonder whether to go for the new dvd or the new Blu-ray! I guess if the Blu-ray is region free, that will be my first choice. The only thing is that the cover of the previous 2 dvd edtions are much better than this cover.
This is one of my top 3 favourite Stone films. Sometimes I just can't decide whether I like this better or Platoon better!

Yeh wasnt this just released on blu? I know it was the R cut though. Maybe someone knows, will the booklet just be on the back on the shrinkwrap or will it be inside. I ask b/c the current bluray is the book kind. But the picture it looks like thats a standard case. I am anxious to see that new featurette about how it would go down today. We really dont see a lot of movies from the 90s now. CERTAINLY not this one

don`t take this the wrong way but dvdactive ain`t the only site to follow, some blu-ray sites gave this news away couple a weeks ago ...

I'm all over the BD. I didn't get the TC BD as the DC is better.

Um, okay, but I really don't know what that has to do with what I said. I've had the UK BD for a while now (I wasn't being literal when I said the other day), so unless those sites had announced it before I bought that release it wouldn't have been much use to me would it?

I keep seeing all these Oliver Stone movies come out in great BR editions (JFK, The Doors, now this), but Im holding out for the collected box like they did with DVD. Same with Kubrick (still smarting over them ignoring Barry Lyndon in the recent remasters).
Come on with the box set already!

My own opinion: This movie sucks. Oliver Stone is great.

I second that. A better movie about the media frenzy concerning a killer would be David Fincher's Zodiac. Oliver Stone seems to want to ram his point down your throat.

I got the original NBK boxset release (with film still/prints/etc) and then ended up double dipping and buying the uncut DC on R2 DVD AGES ago. This really is such an old release here in the UK, I can't believe the US hasn't had it sooner!?
Thank god. I thought I was the only one that didn't care for this movie.

The US had the DC before we did, but it wasn't anamorphic.

Cool, to bad it didn't have the NIN video for "Burn" on it, still only available on the Director's Cut VHS release.
so it has a 44 page booklet but it isnt a Digi-Book?

Argh I see... As for NIN 'Burn' video, now that would have been a great extra!

I'm not your buddy guy! This could go on for a bit.
It's okay, I'll leave it there. Job done.
I wanted this release to be 2 things: be a new digibook & include both theatrical & director's cuts... Unfortunately this is not the case. I have the DC on laserdisc in a really nice set, so I'll just stick with that & maybe pick up the thearical blu.
