Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the 6th season of NCIS which stars Mark Harmon. Season 6 will be available to own from the 25th August, and should retail at around $59.98. Each of the shows episodes will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. We have no word on any extra material for this one, but we'll let you know if we hear anything. Stay tuned. For now though, here's our first look at the official region one package artwork:

This is one show that confuses the hell out of me. I have never heard anyone ever say something like "Hey did you see NCIS last night?" But somehow this is one of the most watched shows on television. I'm sure its really good, but it just baffles me!?

Hugely popular with audiences aged 50+, that's probably why no-one you know talks about it.
It's one of the highest rated programs in the United States. And it does well in the 18-49 demographic. There is a spinoff that will be airing this Fall called NCIS: Los Angeles with LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell. The Pilot episode for that series is in this set....Actually the characters are introduced in a special 2 part episode.
