That's what I mean, i'm not a high def afficianado just yet, I only have 2 blu-rays to my name.
Looks decent, still iffy about it though.
So the feature itself will have a new ending, but the original theatrical ending is a bonus feature?? *Groan* Why not seamless branching...
When they arrange a poll on what cover they should use, they should not put the "losing option" on the BD. Either use the original theatrical (or VHS) artwork, or use the same art they're using for the DVD. After all, that was the one the fans chose in the recent poll.
Great special features. I will definitely upgrade my DVD.

...
don't you mean 1080p? I mean, I don't care at all about hi-def, but if you're gonna go hi-def, you should probably go whole-hog for the best picture currently available, not a step down...

There must be some licensing with the artwork from the VHS and Laserdisc...the artwork isnt impressive but at least the movie is coming out...Ive had it on pre-order for months

The aliens are only shown in the opening...and are extremely silly looking.
yeah that's one of the aliens in the center pic of the Blu-Ray artwork.
wow, a completely different cover for each format? thats sorta cool, too bad they both suck but yeah. anyway im definately getting the blu-ray and thats the cover i prefer so it works out.
but yes....why didnt they just use the theatrical poster or least whatever the VHS had. (if they are one and the same..sorry lol).
so i guess there aren't both versions on there and the theatrical ending is simply a little extra on its own?

Finally! ...I hate the artwork, I knew it was selected by fans but all of the choices were terrible and the theatrical artwork was great!
Never thought I would see this one on Blu-Ray...pleasant surprise!
