I would like to see special edtions for parts 3 and 4,now that we have one for part 1.I really want to see the music videos for Love Kills by Vinnie Vincent Invasion from part 4 and Dream Warriors by Dokken from part 3.Also it would be really kool to hear an audio commentary for part 4 with the director and cast. Also there was a bunch of promo stuff done for home video for parts 3 and 4 orginal released on a screener from Media Home Entertainment that should be on here too.I got them on VHS from a video store that closed down a long time ago and Freddy is really funny in them promoting the releases of these movies.
I will stick with my original 8 disc collection thanks...
No mention of a 3D version officially yet that I can see

BRAVO WARNER BROS!!!
Actually I think only disc 8 has the spanish subtitles. If you look, it says English (all 8 discs) and esp (disc 8)
You are completely rightMBanno, only disc 8 has spanish subtitles so i agree now this is a waste of money, I SUPER PASS!

Only the nightmare 8 disc with spanish subtitles?, i pass
I am buying the original set simply because they f***** this up by not putting the original freddy on there. Screw that, I was excited about this set until then. Not that the new freddy might not be bad just for the sake of consistancy and respect for RE.NoES is my favourite horror movie, the remake has me terrified because of Micheal Bay's directing. He destroyed FT13th to me and I don't want him to destroy NoES, but JEH was the best choice they could have made IMO if they HAD to remake this so who knows. Still a horrible idea overall and only makes this atrocity of a cover art worse.

believe me, the 3D ending to Freddy's Dead was cheap and pathetic even in theaters back then. lol
Oh man, I was hoping the 3D ending was at least watchable. Freddy's Dead is easily the worst film I've seen, but the one thing keeping me coming back for multiple viewings was for the finale in 3D. But still, if the original release kept the 3-D version of FD, so should this set. Lately newer set have been taking out extras from the older sets. It's pretty lazy.
well i could be wrong here but i think the 1999 collection was the only way to see the 3D ending. even when they released them all individually after, i think it was only 2D on that version. just another incentive to buy the box set i guess. so if they're just using the same disc with new art for this release then i wouldnt be surprised if its not 3D.

Part 1 is definitely NOT the infinifilm version, since that version was two discs and had DD-EX & DTS. There's no mention of DTS on the package and it says only vs. Jason has DD-EX.

Wow, how much more disrespectful can you get. First imply that an original movie wasn't quite as good as you wanted it to be by making a remake and now with this absurd cover! (Aesthetically I like the design but man this takes a s**t on Englund!)
If they included Part 5 uncut, I'd double-dip.
This just pisses me off. I've been dieing for a better box set (i've had the first one since I got first got a dvd player), or at least special edition individual releases of the sequels! I was already on the fence about the new film, but now, seeing how they are treating the originals, I don't even want to see it.
Also, I've never been so pissed off at cover art before. Why is Jackie Earle on there!? The company must really think low of Nightmare fans. Seriously.

because they'll make more money.
release them indiviually, people will buy. when all is said and done release a complete series collection and make more money, in fact i bet some who bought them individually would even buy the collection regardless.
its annoying and stupid from a fan's perspective no doubt but business wise it makes sense. of course i'm patient and am willing to wait for an eventual blu-ray collection...even if its years from now. lol

I may just get this as I've never purchased the original box set, and the two '4 Film Favorites' releases are yet to be found in this neck of the woods.

Pointless release. I already own both of the 4 Film Favorites collections that have all 8 on them and it only cost me $20 for both.
Cool but are you kidding me?!

That set is just godd * * m lazy in every meaning of the word from the case design to the extras (or should I say lack thereof). New Line may not be its own studio anymore like it was LOTR days, but it IS called The House That Freddy Built for a reason.
The real question is why is the uncut version of part 5 never coming to dvd? It was on VHS, but it appears to be missing from the DVD sets. They just include the R rated version.
A complete waste of money. That's all I have to say.
very disapointing the nightmare sequels didn't get the same treatment as friday the 13th 1-8. also even more disapointing no blu-ray box set as well

i know right? i thought it was Jackie in the small version on the other article...but then i opened this and noticed the old glove right away but yeah...thats definately Jackie and not Robert....man, i know New Line is pretty much kaput now but sheesh...respect "the house that made you" lol
and to those wondering if the extras from the previous set will be there, it says "8 discs" on it. all the extras were on an 8th seperate disc in the original set so this must be all bare bones. well Part 1 is probably the Infini-Film version like the blu-ray but yeah. and that means even Freddy Vs. Jason will be bare bones since it was a 2 disc set by itself.
so yeah....good price for 8 movies but if you're a fan and dont have it, just find the original box set. its available for around the same price and has much more content.

Well, I only really cared for the first one and New Nightmare, and Freddy Vs. Jason was a real guilty pleasure. I think what I'll do is get the blu of Nightmare 1 and Freddy Vs. Jason. Then, eventually, if the others aren't released on blu, I'll just pick those up standard edition.
I'll stick with my regular boxset thank you very much.
That's Jackie Earle Haley with the Englund glove. Wow...
Does this duplicate the extras from the previous collection? Looks like a bare bones... but way more compact.
So nice of them to not even use the Robert Englund Freddy for THE Robert Englund Freddy flicks... :\
Very cool cover, but I already own the original Nightmare boxset, as well as the 2-disc of Freddy vs. Jason. Looking forward to the reboot.
