Good effin' movie. From the amazing credits sequence, to the hilarious train pun at the end, this is a solid movie.

I think I'll be picking this up, just so I can be on the way to completing my Hitchcock collection.
About f'in time this was announced.
Awesome. That's on my birthday. Definitely one of my all time favorite films.
I hate when movies come in Blu-Ray books. There fat, they stick, out and there stupid like the Natural Born Killers BD. Though I still may give this one a shot.
Thank God they're releasing this! I was upset when they didn't announce it with the first batch of Hitchcock DVDs

You noticed that too huh?

Niiice. I was just about to buy this too but held off in hopes that it'll be re-released for it's 50th anniversary as well as being able to find it for the low price of $36.99!
There was a chat a few months ago on the Home Theater Forum with George Feltenstein.
North By Northwest was an early transfer to HD. Unfortunately, it was done on 1080i, so even if the restoration on which the transfer was based was very good, they had to start from scratch for a Blu-ray release.

A classic made even better thanks to the power of Blu-ray! Day one purchase!
The BD-Book looks gorgeous.
But I don't want to wait until November! I WANT IT NOW! *runs and cries in room*
It's about time some studio brought Hitchcock to Blu. Too bad Universal doesn't have their stable ready to go...I'm waiting patiently for Psycho and Vertigo...
The doc "Cary Grant: A Class Apart" is already on Bringing Up Baby
Artwork added
I love this artwork!
Nice artwork, but Cary's face looks weird.
Looks like he's thinking of what he'll have for dinner later on...WHILE A PLANE IS BEARING DOWN ON HIM.

So looking forward to this! And the artwork is excellent (and in spirit with the original).
Is it possible that their "Northwest" arrow points in the wrong direction?? normally, it would be pointing backwards of Cary Grant... anyway, nice package, but it would have been nice to add the 44 page booklet to the DVD as well... DVD buyers are going to be "tempted" to go to the Blu side once more... and I'm sooooo close.
Oh... should have seen the backwards arrow as well... my bad

I want this now too!
Wow that cover is pretty sweet and I am going blu for sure.
I must say I'm also a fan of Warner Bros. Blu-ray books. I only have one other, 'Poltergeist' but I know people who have '300' , 'Batman', 'Bonnie & Clyde' and 'Dirty Harry' and all are sweet looking. I wish 'Watchmen' had one but I'm okay with the steelbook I have.
