Title: Observe and Report (IMDb)
Starring: Seth Rogen
Released: 22nd September 2009
SRP: $28.98 (DVD)
Further Details:
Warner Home Video has today announced DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray ($35.99) releases of Observe and Report for the 22nd September. The DVD release will include widescreen and full screen versions of the film, and no extra material. The Blu-ray release will include a picture-in-picture commentary track with Seth Rogan, Anna Faris, and director Jody Hill, additional scenes, a Forest Ridge Mall: Security Recruitment Video, a Basically Training - Hollywood's Latest Loose-Cannon Action Star Unleashed featurette, and a gag reel. We've attached our first look at the official package artwork for each release below:

Quote: Bargain hunters at Forest Ridge Mall get more than they bargained for: a chubby flasher in a ratty bathrobe. They’re repulsed. Security guard Ronnie Barnhardt isn’t: “This disgusting pervert is the best thing that ever happened to me!” Catching the flasher may be his ticket to a real police job and to romance with a hot cosmetics-counter princess. Only one thing stands between Ronnie and destiny: a tall, handsome cop who actually knows what he’s doing. Seth Rogen, Anna Faris and Ray Liotta star in this mall-to-wall comedy covering acres of wild, sometimes raunchy, up-in-your-grill funny – all under one roof.

Warner sucks.
That DVD release is just unfair. But this was an unexpectedly great comedy; brutally violent, unapologetically mean and hysterically funny.
The trailer was really good but I don't think I'll like this. Looks a lot better than Paul Blart Mall Cop though!
Not that bad of a movie. I'm switching to blu-ray now for the most part but if the DVD is cheap I'll get it since I'm in that "only buy really entertaining movies on blu-ray" stage.
Sucks about those lack of extras on the DVD. It seems like they are really trying to squeeze DVD out now.

My friend said this was funny but it didn't really look that interesting from the commercial. PASS! Unless if someone lets me watch it, then I will.
Thats stupid. Though I have a Blu-Ray player, people who don't and want this movie will be very pissed. Thats so stupid there are a s**t load of extras on the Blu-Ray, but not on the Dvd. I'm buying the Blu-Ray, but Warner can suck my balls.
I enjoyed it, was always looking out for the HD release, but the DVD bare bones is cockish of Warner.

I remember that stage! It lasts like a week before you start selling all your SD DVDs for a fraction of their original value... Trust me, it's like a disease!

Guess their starting to pull away with DVD and replace it with Blu-ray for good. I think Blu-ray was a waste of money to make in the first place because I'm still satisfied with my DVD/VHS player.
I HATED this movie, fell flat so many times and could never find the right tone. I do like more extreme stuff like pineapple express and even tropic thunder but this was just weak. VERY VERY bitter movie but not even the least bit funny
Terrible film. One of the characters says "sorry, I thought this was going to be funny but it's just really sad." Perfect summary of the film.
Funny but really short film. Will be picking it up.
I would of thought that they would have rolled out an unrated cut of this movie.
One of the funniest movies of the year, a great dark comedy.
Flippers....gotta love 'em. NOT!
I thought this was an extremely warped and hilarious comedy. Sucks that we've had to wait this long for it to be released. Hopefully it does better on DVD/BD than it did theatrically.
I will say this, definitely not for everyone....you really have to hate the world and everyone in it, to enjoy this flick.

Damn it! I really wanted to buy this movie and now I have to wait to get a Blu-Ray player if I even want a decent version. Way to f*** us all, Warner Brothers.
Huh? My local Suncoast said this is coming August 4th.
I LOVED this movie. God it was funny.

Lol, so true, I went through that stage pretty quickly too... now I'm only buying Blu's... looks like that's how it starts...
Might pick this one up when it's about $15, looks funny but uneven...

I've been waiting a really long time for this to be announced! This was a hysterically dark comedy and I cannot wait to get it on Blu-ray. Although I must say that I'm not really happy about the coverart. One of the theatrical posters would've been just fine, but I suppose it could be worse.
a VERY underrated movie. This and Star Trek were the most fun I had in the theatre this year.
Cover Art: Great
Movie: Average (At Best)

LOL, I know, it's really sad. I just sold a bunch of my DVD's and turned around and bought the Blu's. Most recently, it was the Spider-Man and X-Men trilogies...
I didn't see this one. The trailers didn't pique my interest.

Oh wow.
That's just tactless, even for the WB.
Boycott time.

I am not one to begrudge someone getting paid, but damn, is there not any other comedic actor out there other than Seth Rogen? Surely there is somebody else who is working in Hollywood.
Definitely too mean and dark for a lot of people, but I really loved it. It was like Paul Blart and Taxi Driver made a baby.

I want to see this even more now!

Bare bones DVD release???? $2 Chinatown bootleg, here I come!!!
My favorite comedy of the year!

A trend that I don't like at all.
But at least it helps save me some money since I don't have to buy anymore Warner DVDs. Thanks Warner Bros.
