Saw the trailer for this on the Defiance BD the other day. Looks s**t.
Movie was alright, bit slow at times.
Where is the badass monster on the cover? lame!

I would've loved to see this theatrically.
Sort of a middling movie but that beastie was damn cool!
I don't know about Beowulf or Predator, but based solely on the artwork The 13th Warrior immediately springs to mind...
I would definitely compare it to The 13th Warrior. It isn't as great as that movie, but it's still a fun time.
Fun, B-level movie--the comparison between this and The 13th Warrior is probably the best one that could be made.
If anyone is looking for a Region A Blu-ray version, Alliance/Universal are releasing it on the format a week later on the 26th in Canada as they hold the rights to distribute the film there. It can currently be pre-ordered through Amazon.ca or Tower Records. With as little faith as The Weinstein Company has shown in this film thus far I'd say an American Region A Blu-ray release is a ways off yet.

Marcus should be doing it soon enough. It's got a fairly decent AV transfer, but I didn't look at the extras. The audio was pretty atmospheric.
Commentary should be good, Dirk Blackman did a Q&A in London last August, he was a blast, hope the other three match up with energy and stories.
JC with a sword! Watch out Pontius Pilot!
I want to see it. I wish the Weinstein Company would promote their DVD releases better.
I am mixed on this one. The trailer was certainly nothing special.
"Beowulf meets Predator." Certainly does not win me over. I bet this is horrible.

lame no BD.
I've actually heard plenty of good things. I may check it out.
given a 'copy' a while a go but still not really had the urge to see it as it sounds like a very poor rehash of a bad story
