I'm definitely buying the film but don't know whether to buy R1 or not.
I'll be getting the Blu-ray of this I reckon. I've read elsewhere that it's going to be all-region.
I've seen the blu-ray of Paprika in action and it is jawdropping. The part where the doctor and the fat guy run out of a lift we froze the image, and zooming in on the lift we could read the inscriptions and numbers on all the buttons. Sharpest image I've ever seen...
It's also the only version which has DTS ES 6.1 but to tell the truth the DTS 5.1 on the regular DVD is also incredible, I would be hard-pushed to spot a difference.

This movie rocks.
I am usually not a fan of Anime,But I reallly want to see this one!!!
Another instant anime classic from Satoshi Kon. With the exception of Tokyo Godfathers, all of his films are seriously intense headtrips.....
Sounds a bit like the set-up for "Dreamscape" actually.

True.
And "The Cell", while we're at it.
But this one is better, and takes the idea to extremes.

Wonder is this is going to be on HBO or one of the movie channels since I'd like to see it in HD but don't have Blu-Ray player... anyone know if there is a place to find that info?
I am American and I don't see Japanese animation. But Paprika is something I wanna see. It's coming in the mail tomorrow. I'll let you know on Friday or Saturday how the movie was.

Quote: A group of brilliant scientists have developed a form of psychotherapy with the invention of a machine which enables a person to enter another’s dreams. When the device is stolen by a “dream terrorist,” it is up to Atsuko Chiba, a scientist under the code name PAPRIKA, to track down the apparatus and save the world from madness.
