Most people if they wanted these would have them by now - why waste time and go the Blu instead?
T****rs...

You make a good point...I'd forgotten about the pending remake. So, we all know what that means: they will probably reissue the original first movie AGAIN (hopefully a proper SE) slightly bfore the remake is released, I believe on 2/13/09. Hell, maybe they'll release the whole series again.
While I'm here, does anyone know if these are simply new lenticular slip sleeves over the existing releases?

too bad it's not steelbook DVD's that would of been to cool... oh well will probaly double dip on Sleepy Hollow and Zodiac.
could also use the efforts towards a mainsteam Iron Man steelbook instead of this. instead we have to go buy it at FYE.
packaging wise, i'd rather buy that.

Yes, lets put the cool covers on the cheap double/triple dip DVDs.
I like the Sleepy Hollow cover a lot.The ouline of the headless horseman one.
Definitely a BS marketing scheme if I ever saw one though.

I agree. All of the major studios have back catalog titles that have either never had an offical R1 release, been released at all on DVD, or no R1 special edition. I would prefer they put their efforts on releasing those instead of milking the same cows over and over and over again.

Paramount has pretty much stopped releasing classic films new to DVD. They just rely on double/triple/quadruple dipping.
Stubby don't play that game

We need these on Blu!

Ain't that the truth. Jason with a mask??
His mom is the killer in the first movie. What the hell. LOL.

Some of these I dont even own. I'll get these pretty new covers.
Complete waste on time, money, and if you actually buy them, resources.
Definition of stupid: making the lenticular cover of the first "Friday the 13th" movie the hockey mask.
By the way, they most likely will release a newer version of this on DVD/Blu-ray when the "reboot/remake" is released.
Nice work by Paramount marketing.

Wish they'd stop with this lenticular c**p and release these films on Blu already, well Zodiac anyway, the rest apart from Sleepy Hollow are bad.

The Ring, Red Eye, Friday the 13th, and What Lies Beneath, how 'bout it?
I specially want to see The Ring (2003) on Blu-ray!
p.s Sleepy Hollow gets the BEST lenticular cover! The Ring ones are horrible, why add Samara to it? The theatrical poster is much better for the lenticular.

I don't own What Lies Beneath or Sleepy Hollow yet. I might pick them up to see if they hold up since 8th Grade.
Oooooooh!
Mostly mediocre movies (in Standard Definition) with lenticular covers!
Gimme a break.
Please, people. Do not allow this kind of marketing BS to make you Double Dip.
Please. Do not encourage them. Resist. I beg you.

The only "new" cover its red eye(kinda cool), all the others are pretty much the same already released.
Gyllenhaal looks weird on that Zodiac cover. I can't figure out what it is, but something seems off.
The most pointless double-dips in recent memory, at least the RRPs are cheap.
Jason's mask on the first Friday cover? Looks a little cool, but makes no sense at all..
The Ring one is the best, IMO. Freakin creepy.
Gimmig!... because Bluray is here!!
Damn, glad I held out on the Event Horizon and Pet Cemetery, Im a sucker for lenticular covers.
I would say some of them look pretty stupid (the ring), but you really can't judge these things until you see them in person.
