Warner Home Video has announced Peanuts 1970s Collection, Volume 1 which includes 6 remastered TV specials ("You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown", "There's No Time for Love, Charlie Brown", "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", "It's a Mystery, Charlie Brown", "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown"). The only extra feature will be a Woodstock: Creating Snoopy's Sidekick featurette. You'll be able to own this one from the 20th October. We've attached the official package artwork below:

now that they've suckered people into buying the individual releases, bring on the box sets.
I know. WE NEED THE BOXSETS BAD!!
Is it the 80's set that'll include "Why Charlie Brown, Why?"
If they do get that far in the decade sets, 'Why Charlie Brown, Why' would be in the 90's set.
I'd prefer they just make the collection bigger and put ALL the 1970s specials in one set, not split them in two.
I don't know about this one. On one hand, I can't really see many of the post-1980 specials having all that much replay value, so this box, so these decade collections are a good idea. BUT, on the other hand, Warner is still releasing individual Deluxe Editions with special features not on the boxed sets.
Oh, Warner, you're really having a ball with your higgledy-piggledy Peanuts release plans, aren't you?
