Quote: Based on the popular book series by Rick Riordan, the film follows trouble-prone Percy Jackson who finds himself having problems in high school… but that’s the least of his challenge. It’s the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus have walked out of the pages of his Greek mythology texts and into his life, and they’re not happy – Zeus’ lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Learning he is the son of Poseidon, the young teen finds himself caught between angry and battling gods, and embarks on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

I enjoyed this, fun family film, much better the Alice in Wonderland.
I haven't seen this, but whatever the case, I like the cover art.
This is a case where I believe the filmmakers didn't think they'd get a chance to do the rest of the book series so they tossed everything cool about the book and gave us a generic quest movie.

Clash of the Titans is suppose to suck.

Or Moses...
And I forgot about that one, pythonofdoom. You're absolutely right. (convulses) Too many BAD memories.

based on that cover, maybe he isn't the son of a greek god but that of Jean Grey.

I actually enjoyed this a lot more than Clash of the Titans.
That cover image was actually the international poster for the movie, and, for once, I like it much better than the USA one, although the design is quite weak.
Actually was pleasantly surprised with this one, not sure I'd buy it though.
Lame cover, but not a bad kids' movie.
I thought perhaps you were disappointed a Jonas brother didn't play him...
Thanks for clearing that up ;-)

A brother as in a black guy? why on earth would a "brother" play the role of a son of a greek god?
LOL I was just joking since Percy Jackson sounds like a black name.

Looks like he's taking a s**t! Will rent
Incredibly enjoyable family fantasy!
Day one blu-ray purchase for me.

I actually enjoyed it but I don't think I want the movie. It's something that I enjoyed once. The books were better but may not buy this movie.
Dammit! BluRay owners get twice as many deleted scenes as DVD owners!
I want to see this. I really wish they used they poster for the cover.
Heard this was pretty good, actually.

& Uma used the same voice/personality when she played G-girl in My Super-Ex Girlfriend.
Disappointed. I thought a brother would play the lead role of Percy Jackson.
I surprisingly enjoyed this and will more than likely try reading these books over the summer. The movie was quite successful, so hopefully they do more films.
I did cringe, however, when Uma Thurman started to talk. She used that exact voice and tone when she played Poison Ivy all those years ago in 'Batman & Robin.' So many bad memories...Ugh
That cover art is horrendous. Hopefully that's not final. The poster art is so much better.
