can make himself invisible, Pete (Sean Marshall) takes refuge from his abusive adoptive family in the seaside town of Passamaquoddy, Maine. After Elliot’s invisible antics wreak havoc with the residents and Pete gets the blame, Nora (Helen Reedy) is touched by the youngster’s plight and takes him to live with her and her tippling father Lampie (Mickey Rooney) in the Passamaquoddy Point lighthouse. Lampie’s tipsy tales of the boy and his dragon amuse the disbelieving townsfolk, until the local quack, Dr. Terminus, discovers that Elliot is real and hatches a scheme to capture the dragon. An exciting and inspiring story with unforgettable music, including the Academy Award nominated “Candle on the Water,” “There's Room for Everyone” and “Brazzle Dazzle Day,” Pete’s Dragon High Flying Edition will be a perennial favorite with children and parents.

Loved it when I was a kid, but I doubt it would have the same effect now.
gotta love those pop versions they do of the old disney songs on many releases....its just an excuse to get their tween/teen singers out there....damn disney is invading the music industry. lol
Woah, this just gave me a total childhood flashback. Loved this when I was a kid.
I loved this movie as a kid, and was shocked to find that I actually still love it today and now my 4 year old daughter loves it, too. Really great movie -- I'm actually somewhat excited about this.
Helen Reddy had a nice arse on her, but not enough to make us want to buy this...

Love how the milk dvds. Pass
I think this was the only DVD my parents even bothered to show me as a kid (they were too busy showing me Godzilla and Harryhausen movies)....so it defiantly brings back memories, and with a little boy of my own on the way maybe I'll pick it up after hes born in November.
Never saw this as a kid, hadn't even heard about it until very recently. Something says I've been missing out
Disney, quit including FastPlay on your DVDs. It's insulting to DVD enthusiasts and parents everywhere.
