There's no LFE channel. Plenty of discs have these tracks (such as the Donnie Brasco SE).

Just like the Doors - no bass. Not a soundtrack or LFE heavy movie anyway, although you can set your crossover and you'll get bass either way.

99% the same as the previous release...
5.0
i believe The Hours also has a 5.0 track also.
I don't care though, i already have this film in anamorphic widescreen with a 5.1 track and seeing as this is a dramatic movie, most dramatic movies dont' have an entertaining making of feature *SOMETIMES* so i won't be picking this up

I think they should include the SNL skit where they made Philadelphia action figures. Tom Hanks's figure transformed and stuff.
'Twas a hoot.
'Twas a hoot.
I think watching this as a double-feature with "The Hours" would require drawing a warm bath and sharp blade. Nothing like a fresh popped bowl of popcorn, a cold Coke (or Pepsi for those of you not into the real thing) and a double dose of depression! Anybody seen my Zoloft?
I can't help but think of Peter from Family Guy everytime I hear someone mention this movie.
Nooooooooooooo, I just bought the bare bones edition like a month ago!!! After waiting a year or two for some sort of special edition to eventually come out no less....
*Sigh*
Gonna have to pass on this one. Pretty decent flick the first go round but not worth the second buy. Now watch you guys announce Raging Bull and American Graffiti Special Editions after having just bought the two discontinued versions out there two days ago. Just watch!

Hate to burst your bubble, but there is indeed a special edition of "Raging Bull" on the way. I haven't heard anything about American Graffiti. The Collector's Edition was pretty spiffy and they just released a "Franchise Edition" that contains the awful sequel "More American Graffiti." But with all the George Lucas attention in the coming months it makes you wonder. There is always Ebay.

Too much text on the cover.
Will have to pick this up some. Bloody good movie. I'm glad that there's a Demme commentary.
