Quote: Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break, a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there's something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; a new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area’s new razor-toothed residents.

If the 3D ends up not being too much more I think I will buy that to future-proof it. Plus I really love the look of the clear cases.

Agree 100%! I haven't seen Piranha 3D yet (I am defo blind buying), but I heard the T+A and gore is hard to top. Btw, was the 3D good? I'm getting the Blu-ray 3D version but I hope it turns out well because Bloody Disgusting said the 3D was awful.

I cried after watching this, and they weren't tears of joy...

Oh come on Chris, it's a fun homage to the 80's low budget creature features. It's got T+A, gore, A-listers, and likable characters. What more do you want?
And by likable characters, I mean Elizabeth Shue, Steven R. McQueen, Kelly Brooke, Jessica Szhor (spelling?), Riley Steele, and Adam Scott. But still, FIVE likable characters in a horror movie.
And we are supposed to HATE the spring breakers. So, they did a good job of making the audience hate them.

horrorfan25, exactly!! this was tremendous fun. i understand it's not for everyone but i've watched it many times and it's fun every time. i can only imagine how gory and over the top the sequel will be. i can't wait! and horrorfan25, personally i think you're better off buying the BR 2D version. the 3D in this was extremely poor quality (and i hate saying that because Aja is my fav) although it was a TRILLION BILLION MILLION times better 3D than SAW 3D's insulting, non-existent, ripoff/scam 3D was! lol.
