Alternative version?
And to think I once thought these were funny...at least I was lucky enough not to see no.7 I don't want to believe the rumors that said another one was on the way, but if there is, I hope it's: "Assignment retirement house."
Great covers.I had no idea that there are Police Academys 6 and 7.Probubly being released because of Hot Fuzz and Reno911.But yeah, pointless.
Let's not diss these flicks, ladies and gents. This is pure popcorn fun at its finest.
Love these movies. When I was a kid. These got released over here about two years ago, including the extra's and same artwork. And I loved them still. Gonna watch these again in a couple of years and prolly still love 'em. And it is always great when they use the original posters as artwork.
These stopped being amusing after 4 came out.

I assume that Mr Gould means £8.99 "each" right? LOL
EDIT: Yes just saw them on PLAY.com. It's 8.99 each, but £6.99 delivered from PLAY

I would like to know whats different in the "Alternative Edition" for P.A. 4 compared to the R1 or previous R2 releases?

When the movie came out at the cinema, it was (if memory serves) rated PG, and we saw it on our 12th birthday. Art Metrano's crudely-dubbed line "What the f**k?" was snipped to prevent it getting a higher certificate. This was probably just the old trick by major US studios where they would add a single "F" word so as to ensure a cooler PG-13 and instantly validate it for teenagers. When PA2 came out on video here, the line was reinstated, the rating bumped up to a "15" and it made it a much cooler prospect for teens because of that.
They probably just mean that "new"copy is it is one of either version, in an attempt to generate intrigue.

I try to credit our readers with a bit of intelligence.

Thats how video covers should be, except no, 5, which looks it was bred in DTV hell. The first one is funny, but uhh...... gee!!! £8.99 for the whole lot would still be questionable.
Why does Steve Guttenburg's comic character on the cover remind me of Alfred from MAD magazine?
