This is a 2-Disc (31 shorts) set as compared to the previous 4-Disc set (55 shorts). They are changing up the releases for some reason.

Popeye the sailor man. He lived in a garbage can. He turned up the gas, and blew off his ass. He's Popeye the sailor man.
Sorry childhood flashback.
This would be great to study for my Film Animation class than.Too bad it's released in June.I'll look for Volume 1.

Be careful folks, Popeye is full of "OLD" no longer acceptable stereo types and innuendo. I rented the first set and was watching them with my kids and had to stop, explain and apologize to my kids for the use of certain ethnic, racist and just plain no longer acceptable behavior. Do not get me wrong, I grew up watching his cartoons, loved everyone of them, but the world and I are much different places now. Just be warned.
Looks like another great year for animation on DVD. I expect the "Gulliver's Travels" will be nicely cleaned up and presented better than any of the previous editions. Now if Warners will just get around to putting their restored Fleischer Superman cartoons on a dedicated disc (or discs) instead of forcing the purchase of the live action Superman sets to get them.
