Fox Home Entertainment has announced a new collector's edition of Predator 2 which stars Kevin Peter Hall, Danny Glover, Gary Busey and Maria Conchita Alonso. The disc will be available to own from the 25th January next year, and should retail at around $19.98. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen along with English DTS, English Dolby Digital 5.1, Spanish Dolby Surround and French Dolby Surround tracks. Extras on this two-disc set will include an audio commentary by Director Stephan Hopkins and the writers Jim Thomas and Scott Thomas, a number of deleted sequences, a promotional gallery, a gag reel, The Predator Goes to Town (1990) featurette, an 1990 International featurette and a Creating the Ultimate Hunter featurette. Completing the package will be the original theatrical trailer, Trailers A, B and C and five TV spots. We've attached the official package artwork below:

Well, I guess Fox couldn't pass up a Se double-dip with this one, since the recent release of the 2-disc original Predator and the impending release of I assume a 2-discer of AVP.
I'll gladly dump my single disc version for this one.

I saw the one disc original in a sale bin at Zellers a month ago for about $6 I think.
It was obvious they would make a special edition for this because of the first one's re-release and the AvP movie coming to DVD.

wow this movie sucked a whole deal, first of all jake busey, thats all i have to say about that and the plot was dumb, and they should have not made a sequel because arnold's predator was one of the coolest movies ever and then they killed it wit the sequel and do not get me started on alien vs predator.... save your money people, do yourself a favor

there is nothing good about this movie (except for the alien head trophie at the end) it can't compare to the first one which has everything this one doesn't.
At least it didn't have anything to do with the orginal. It was new Predator, new location and new characters. Imagine if they would have tried to tie the plot into some conspiracy involving Arnold's character. That would have sucked.
SWEET. This movie rocked just like the Alien sequel did, and easily beats the original. I bought the cheapo one-disc of this, and I'll buy this in a heartbeat too.
Hope it gets a better cover(the cityscape with the Yautja holding the skulls would be nice)..
EDIT: Why isn't Danny Glover billed as the star? He was the best thing about that movie far as actors went.

Here they go again!! They could not do this earlier. Having you waste money when it finally arrives on DVD & then come up with a 2-disc version years later. Tell me who's greedier Fox or Disney? Maybe we can have a poll on this in the future!
It's one of the most unloved films of all time, now i can finally replace my bare bones edition !

I think its because they want to leave us in the dark on it, so they CAN double dip if they decide to later on. And its not just 'this or that' studio---At one point or another, Ive seen just about EVERY studio do this. And honestly, Im getting sick of it to the point where I have greatly reduced the amount of DVDs that I buy. Too many times have I bought a DVD, then see some other "better, crisper, longer" version come out that I would have really wanted. Burned on that once too many times, so Ive gone from buying about 4 DVDs a month, to about 1.

I think this movie is underrated. It has a great score and we get to learn more about the Predators. Plus..it has BILL PAXTON! Waay more entertaining than AVP.

Since I passed on the SE of Predator, I hope they release this as a 2 pack. Either way, I'll have to get this one and the SE of predator. =-)
This wasn't the best movie, but it wasn't as bad as others have made it out to be. I kind of liked it! WAY better then AvP(which I'll get also as I'm a completeist!)
I hope they cleaned up the print so it's not grainy.
