My girlfriend and I love the book and this film. I'll pass on the 2-disc set. But only because I'm going to buy it on HD-DVD when it is released on the same day.
moviewizguy: Who would ever thought THIS movie would have a 2 disc DELUXE GIFT SET?!!!!
Yeah, honestly...
Yeah, honestly...
Dammit! I bought the bare bones DVD!!!! Who would ever thought THIS movie would have a 2 disc DELUXE GIFT SET?!!!!
I love the packaging since it's similar to the packaging Universal gave the 2-disc versions of Munich, King Kong, and United 93.
Great packing. But I never heard of "acclaimed" director Joe Wright...
Also coming to HD DVD...
The packaging is delightful. I'm just a little shaken this movie needs a 2-Disc edition that much.
The packaging kicks ass.
i loveeeee this movie!
Why couldn't they release a non-giftset two-discer at a reasonable price? I'd be all over that...
Hopefully it will have some sort of voucher to see "Atonement", which I beleive is why this is being released.
I've always put off buying this movie. Now I'm certainly glad I did. I'll pick this version up for sure.
Barely saw this film. Will rent it on DVD and possibly if I want it, will check out the 2-Disc.

Yeah, but this version does condense Austen's novel into a brisk 2 hours that is faithful to the book's spirit and younger people aren't as prone to getting bored by it as they are by the 1995 BBC miniseries (which is good but a rather butt-numbing 6 hours long).
I liked this version better, mainly because it dispenses with some of the subplots that I really wasn't interested in (such as reducing Mr. Wickham and Mr. Bingley's involvement) and streamlines it into something more easier to digest. And having actresses like Keira Knightley and Rosamund Pike in it is pretty much an incentive for me to watch it more often. (Jennifer Ehle, while a good Lizzy, looked too plain to catch Mr. Darcy's eye.)

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.Bummed I bought the previous one.Now I just need to find a fine lady to watch it with.Great cover!
Not really an Austen fan (little experience) but this looks good for fans. The sioundtrack is VERY good if you like film scores. I'll rent the reg edition, and if I like, buy this.
Damn fine cover. I didn't care for it enough to double dip. Might make a great christmas gift for a friend though.
I got the previous release for only CA$15 so this won't hurt so much.

I love and respect Keira Knightley as an actress, but this movie was horrible.
Love the packaging (and the movie), but in all honesty, it really has stuff I could care less about. Not to mention you can get the regular DVD and soundtrack for less than $25.
I´m glad that I didn´t purchased the previous release, this is a must boy for me
