Prince of Darkness (US - BD RA)
Scream Factory continues teasing us with their upcoming releases...
Title: Prince of Darkness
Starring: Alice Cooper
Further Details:
Scream Factory has been making a steady stream of teaser announcements on their Facebook page lately, but I thought this one was especially worthy of note:
Quote: ***BREAKING NEWS!***
Since we started this week with a John Carpenter film announcement (Body Bags) it is fitting with end it with another...The master's 1987 cult classic PRINCE OF DARKNESS - our #1 most requested title - will be coming this fall and presented as a Collector's Edition on DVD and Blu-ray!
We have no more details to report at this time (i.e. street date, extras, etc.) but will reveal more in the next few months. Have a great weekend!
Anyone that caught Prince of Darkness in HD when it was still on Netflix's streaming service know how much potential there is in an outstanding 1080p transfer there is. Also, any extras are welcome.

Quote: **BREAKING: Final List of Extras for John Carpenter's PRINCE OF DARKNESS on DVD or Blu-ray 9/24!**

They Live is out in Italy and looks better than the US release (no contrast boosting or DNR). There's a German release of Prince of Darkness and In the Mouth of Madness is getting a BD release in October. No word on the remastered version of The Fog in region B yet.

Don't know about ITMOM (probably Warner), but PoD and THEY LIVE are with Studio Canal in the UK.
UPDATE: The commentary on this disc is the same as what was previously released on Region 2 DVDs of the film, which also includes Actor Peter Jason.

Does anyone know if there are any plans for this, The Fog and They Live to be released in the UK at all....?
Just wondering whether Arrow might pick them up as they seem to release some of the stuff Scream Factory releases in the US.

Confirmed from Arrow that they won't be releasing these as the rights to the UK releases are held elsewhere.....

what a beautiful cover!! i enjoyed this movie but i don't LOVE it. THE FOG is my favorite carpenter movie (and is in my top 3 movies ever!).

Got it. Thanks!

Too bad about In the Mouth of Madness, Carpenter's best film IMO.
What's the difference between Scream Factory and Shout! Factory? Are they one and the same or are they two different companies? Don't get it.

I hope they could get In The Mouth of Madness since there are a variety of extras to mine for such a release like deleted scenes from multiple rough cuts of the film. Anyway, I'm excited to see Prince of Darkness on blu-ray

That's with Warner--Shout! Factory won't be getting it.

Anyone ever tell you you could pass for Asian?
AWESOME! One of Carpenter's underrated classics. Very atmospheric and creepy!
Pray for death.
awesome....i've never owned this but check it out whenever its on tv. cannot wait.
Son of a b***h. They're bleeding me dry.
The UK commentary with Carpenter and Peter Jason is pretty great and I'm sure it'll be on there, but I'm hoping for a new track too. THEY LIVE didn't get a new one in addition to the Carpenter/Piper track, but THE FOG is getting a new track with Tommy Lee Wallace, Tom Atkins and Adrienne Barbeau.
