Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced the release of Prison Break: Season One, Part One for the 29th of May, priced at around £34.99. The set will include the first thirteen episodes of the first season, presented in anamorphic widescreen (1.78:1) and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. No supplemental material is included. Here's the official region two artwork.

to be fair the first couple of episodes were ok but now I'm bored and with the news that fox have green lity a second series already I'm thinking that they will probally not break out after 24 episodes or soo. so hey once again why cant they keep to just one series and make it truly amazing ??? like LOST could of been superb if it was just one series but now ive given up on that too ! also what happened to supernatural that started off great but has died a quick death! oh well ill stick with 24 unfortunately and csi ny plus please please stop doing these stupid half series boxsets because you guys release the whole series boxserts in the end anyway !!!!!

these split releases are stupid, why pay £70 odd pounds for 2 1/2 set releases, simply import the region 1 boxset of shows cheaper than the uk charge for half a season. They won't be getting anymore of my hard earned that's for sure!!!!!!

The next Series of Prison Break is called 'Prison Break: Manhunt' so I guess they probably will escape!

I like the series but wont buy it. Good television but not worth repeat viewing.

And even if I did want to buy it, I wouldnt buy half a season!

I've been confused with this series. Was the second run of new episodes actually still a part of Season 1, or are they Season 2?

I actually really like this show. I am quite into it. I have to agree the half season sets are really c**p. I imported the lost full season 1 set to avoid the high price of two half seasons. Well worth it. Though I don't have any plans to get this show, it is very watchable.

dont you guys pay attention!? the original order for episodes was 13, but FOX saw the success of the series and ordered for new episodes. that is why there was about a 4 month break in the series from winter to spring. THESE EPISODES ARE STILL A PART OF SEASON ONE! therefore, FOX didnt randomly break up the series into two dvd sets, it did so because 1-13 is the original order of episodes they made. dont get mad cuz the split it up.

£ 70 is much,but believe it or not but that´s the price we must always pay in the beginning for a long whyle for a season of 24 from Fox,Yes that´s €80-€ 90. Fox is the moost expensieve studio moost of the time,followd by Universal & Warner,Warner ask the same money for one season of a serie like Smallville/Third Watch without extra´s and Universal ask between € 60,00-€ 92.99 for The A-team,Columbo,Law and order,Miami Vice and Knight Rider whas the moost expensieve of those tv serie´s,€ 80,00-92,99 in the beginning. Those to much hight prices is one of the reasens that it is possible that Universal don´t release the other seasons and canceld Airwolf and Hulk.

Because of Prison Break,i think Fox release with DD 5.1 English & France as one box here or ask € 39.99-€ 44,99 for each part.

Not sure about the specifics of this series, but when British TV companies purchase the rights for an American show, they almost always wait until they can run the entire season without repeats or breaks. British audiences aren't used to the American way where networks like Fox randomly mix new episodes with repeats, and only commission particial seasons that just end without warning.
