Enjoyed it in the theater. That Olga Kurylenko chick is the most alluring Bond girl they've had in years. Hope the picture and sound is as good as the Casino Royale: Collector's Edition Blu-ray.......

This was one of the most disappointing of the year. Well... I don't know, I saw it just the one time, I think I may NetFlix it just to give it a second chance. 2-disc art is pretty cool, though.
will wait til the bluray dvd is 9.99 somewhere in the uk, online no doubt. aint paying 17-18 pound for it !

I kinda felt the same way the 1st time. I didn't think it was disappointing though.. just wasn't 100% satisfied. After seeing a few times I tend to like it more each time and now I really like it. Not as good as Casino, but it is a good movie.
Definite 2 disk edition for me..

i really liked this movie. but since im poor i will have to settle with the standard dvd lol
While there aren't many extras on the two-disc special edition, at least it isn't as much of a rip-off as the two-disc SE of Casino Royale. I'm certain that, like Casino Royale, a double dip will be coming.

She's one of the most alluring girls full stop. Absolutely stunning that young lady. Regularly gets her kit off as well, which can only be good.

For some reason, I can't help but looking at his prominently oversized watch on the 2-disc cover.
Disappointed movie. I thought it was okay, not the best Bond film.
I was just wondering...
I know about the MGM-Fox thing, but since "Quantum" was released on theaters by Sony on both, the US and overseas (just like Casino Royale), I thought they were going to release this.

YES!! Do you even know how long I've waited for DVD details of this? I'll pick this up for first day. No, it might not be Casino Royale, but as apposed to some other so called action films this year, this is pretty solid. I'll be picking this up first day.
Why would they not make this Blu-Ray cover match the rest of the series they're currently releasing? I can understand why Casino Royale doesn't (released by Sony), but this is from the same studio!
I hope Best Buy will have the Quantum of Solace Blu-ray in the exclusive Steelbook packaging on March 24. Because that would be awesome!!
I was a wee bit underwhelmed by the lack of plot. Otherwise it's certainly an adrenaline packed Bond film. Nice nods to classic Bond films too. Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton are drop dead gorgeous. How about them Strawberry Fields.
The first time in a long time where the 2-disc special edition cover artwork is better than the 1-disc edition. I missed it in theaters do to the god awful reviews. But I'll rent it. It can't be that bad for a rental.
Not as great as Casino Royale, but still really good. Definitely picking up the 2-disc.
Where's the digital copy for this?
Both releases have stunning artwork. A maybe for me.
I was disappointed in this film and it looks like I'll be disappointed in the blu-ray as well because those extras don't seem nearly as great as those on the Casino Royale collector's edition. So unless I find it for a great price I can hold out until the Quantum of Solace collector's edition. The coverart is great though, but I just wish the studios would stop playing with us and release the true collector's editions off the bat like they used to, you know...in the old days lol.
I was disappointed upon first viewing (mainly due to the sheer brilliance of Casino Royale) but I saw it a second time and really liked it a lot (worst theme song ever notwithstanding). Craig is still pitch perfect to Ian Fleming's written version of Bond. Not as good as Casino but still a worthy entry with some surprisingly biting commentary on modern politics and the disposable nature of spies. Will pick this up the day it's released.
Not a good movie.
The second biggest disappointment of the year right after 'The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' a huge letdown after 'Casino Royale' which blows this away.
The movie isn't bad even though I expected a little more from it. Still it holds up as a follow-up to Casino Royale. I just wish they got a different director (or editor).
just saw this tonight it was good still found "Casino Royale" to be the better film though.
Would you look at that, his watch is grossly oversized... I wonder how much that set Omega back...
As for the movie, I was disappointed, but maybe I'll pick up the BD when it drops in price. Great artwork though.

Alot of films are becoming giant adds...

Does anyone know if the European release was longer with more violence like Casino Royale?
The UK release was re-edited to get a 12A rating. Shots were moved around and replaced in the cross-cutting sequence between the attempted rape and the axe fight (to reduce the intensity, apparently).
Therefore, the UK release will be this cut version. Other release may escape these cuts, as with Casino Royale - the fight scenes were cut in the US release but the torture scene wasnt. The UK release cut the torture scene but left the fight scenes intact. Some releases (Australian, HK) got the full unedited film.

I had picked up the Australian release of Casino Royale blu-ray special edition for the uncut status, something tells me I should wait for Quantum to be released there too

They must have some strange deal cause they had Casino Royale added into the huge box set of all the Bond films last year. Maybe they switch back and forth.
