Anyone know if this will be available in Region 2? Or what the closest alternative will be?
You can pre-order this set on Amazon for $37.99
Knock down the price from $55 to $40 and I would consider. Bring it down to $35 and it's a purchase.
I currently have the latter released "Ultimate Edition" trilogy. If those editions are a part of this tin, I have no reason to buy. However, I keep hearing about how stellar the previous release was, so if that's what's included, I'll definitely sell off the one I have now in favor of this.
Blu-ray set
Unfortunately us HD fans will be getting the raw deal (again). Lionsgate are releasing a Blu-ray Rambo set but it only contains the first three Rambo movies and absolutely no extras...no tin either!
I am very annoyed, surely it would make sense to release the same set on Blu-ray?
Looks like I'll just be buying standalones of Rambo III and the new film (already got First Blood 1&2 on HD-DVD) then!

They could easily combine the old single-disc DVDs (commentaries, featurettes) with the generally bare-bones new DVDs (one commentary, alternate ending, deleted scenes), add the 2-disc Rambo and top it off with the Artisan tin's bonus DVD to create the ultimate Rambo box set. If that happens, I'll sell my current sets to get this one.
The box is actually filled with grenades & the lid is attached to a trip wire. Take that consumers!!
will wait for BLU 4/5 disc.
I'll just keep my original tin trilogy set and pick up the 2-disc of the new film. Besides, with Stallone already set to make a fifth Rambo movie sometime in the near future there is really no point in purchasing "The Complete Set" when it won't be so complete anymore a few years on down the road. I won't be replacing my entire Rambo collection until I know for sure he's done with the series.
These movies were captivating as a kid but not now i'm afraid. God knows where my combat knife went.
I'm glad I waited before pulling the trigger on any of the older Rambo sets.....
Being patient in the dvd world is really helpful. Now, I'll buy this set to get the best features of all the Rambo movies.
Yeah where the hell is the Blu release?
Will buy if it gets a Blu release.
hmmm..... I'm so pissed that my b***h ass girlfriend caused me to miss Rambo for her stupid Cloverfield flick (which I effin' hated)..... but since i don't own any of the Rambo films, I'll probably go this route.
The Special Edition set from 2002 was the best release by far. The bonuses were insane. I would only upgrade if all of those bonuses carried over.
I never got a chance to buy the original Rambo trilogy and now it's out of print. Instead I was stuck with the c**ppy Ultimate Edition set with it's very weak extras.
I will happily upgrade if they import the extras from the original trilogy or add new and improved stuff.

The one in BB is $19.99, but it's the new versions, not the old which contain the DTS tracks...so no, I returned my Rambo First Blood Pt.1 back to WM because of that ($5 on the cheap bin)...
fingers crossed for blu ray.
already sold my trilogy in preparation for this!
If this has some new stuff, I will probably get it. But right now I am kind of assuming it will be a 2-disc (John) Rambo DVD packaged with Lions Gate's 'Ultimate Editions' of the other movies. I have all of those, plus the Artisan Tin set and an extra copy of the First Blood UE already (not to mention the movies on VHS)...so buying these movies again might be cause to have me committed. We'll see. One thing is for certain: (John) Rambo was awesome and I will be getting that on DVD ASAP!

You may as well just buy the first 2 films and then #4 when it comes out.
#3 is not really worth anybody's time. It's weak, politically now a joke and really is the one weak link in the chain.
Best forgotten about.

Yeah, I'll probably pick this up anyway....
What's the 6th disc? The first 3 films are all 1-Disc and the 4th is a 2-Disc which would make it a 5-disc set... Anyone know?
I haven't got any of these yet so maybe when the pice is right I will get one - I doubt he will make another one as growth hormones only work so far....
$55? You can pick up the trilogy boxset at Target or Best Buy for $15 right now. No thanks for me.
It's very, very, very tempting, the packaging is cool...as long as these have the DTS and the first editions (not the second releases), we'll be fine...but the price, eh...lower on stores when released, I know...
Well, even though I have the Special Edition Trilogy tin, I hate the packaging with the open ends that allows the inner digipak to slide out too easily, plus that fact that the hubs don't hold the discs too well, I'll probably buy this set just to have a good set with all four films in one package.
no thanks, already have the rambo trilogy collection
Cool, I'll pick that up at some point because I don't own any of the films yet.
Theres no turning back. Held out for something like this. Sweet bliss...
Looks cool. I might pick this up for my father's birthday in June. Big fan of Rambo.
depends on how much it is during the first week, might look into it. Nicely in time for father's day, my dad's still got the first 3 on vhs
Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!
I would buy this if it contained differint special features then the other tin trilogy box set which I already have
cool though I would not buy it since I have the lastLionsgate/Artisan set and the 1 before that(not the first bad tranfer set though).
