Quote: From Executive Producers who brought you Quarantine, comes the movie that inspired the terror. A beautiful TV reporter and her cameraman are doing a routine interview at a local fire station when an emergency call comes in. Accompanying the firefighters to a nearby apartment, the news team begins recording the bloodcurdling screams coming from inside an elderly woman's unit. After authorities seal off the building to contain the threat, the news crew, firefighters and residents are trapped to face a lethal terror inside. With the camera running, nothing may survive but the film itself.

Cool! I still have not seen this (or QUARANTINE, for that matter), but I think I'll blind buy it based on everything I read. Glad I held off on the Region 2.

excellent film - R2 has much better extras...
F**king finally! I have been waiting for this film for what seems like forever. It is unfortunate that there is only one special feature, but at least Americans can finally see this film without importing the Canadian or R2 version. I refused to see Quarantine until this was released. The fact that so many tweeny-boppers saw Quarantine and loved it, thinking it was so original, saddens me.
Then again, most people don't know when a film is a remake. I've told people that The Hills Have Eyes and The Last House on the Left are remakes, and they look at me funny. Do people not know who Wes Craven is? I hope to god everyone knows Friday the 13th is a remake. Then again, when people think the killer from the original Friday is Jason it shows you how little most people know about films.

Glad the Americans finally got this.
It's about time. They should've released this the same time as Quarantine.
Dang, finally. This was waaay better than Quarantine. It's about time we get an official US release.
It's about time! However, there aren't really many special features...R2 has a 2-disc set. Well, I shouldn't complain...
FINALLY! even with Quarantine being shot-for-shot, the original till managed to blow it away!
Um....this already came out. I saw a guy on youtube doing a review of it months ago.
No blu-ray. Pass. I'll import.
I bought my R2 dvd like a year ago.
I will definately be picking this one up.

BD will come to those who wait....

I like remakes, but Quarantine was ***in' garbage. [REC] was great, though. Good to see it finally get a proper release here in R1.

My thoughts exactly (and glad I'm not the only one). Didn't this came out the same time Quarantine came out on DVD? I've seen it for sale and on rental shelves for QUITE awhile. Re-release perhaps?

finally! will buy 4 sure
Artwork added
I heard this is really good. Not a fan of horror movies though. Cool artwork.
I LOVED this movie, but really not liking the artwork.
art is ok. I really wanna see this and I loved Quarantine so I'll buy this!
That artwork is awful, makes it look like a low budget STV movie. They should've stuck with the regular poster artwork with Manuela Velasco in the dark.
I'll admit that the old artwork looked better, but that dude in the background on this version is creepy. Still haven't gotten Quarantine yet, even though it was a great film. I'll buy it before this, but, I'll give this a try on netflix.

It's pretty much a shot for shot remake...but this one is WAYYYYY scarier and better acted, screw Quarantine.
Terrible artwork btw, sucks, this was by far my favorite horror film of last year.

WAAAAA! I cherish this film. Im still importing on the 2 Disc Special Edition. The Best Horror Film of the 21st century, period. One of the best reviewed too. The theatrical poster one sheet is beautifully eerie, I dont know what Sony was thinking when they came up with this DVD cover mess.
REC is way better than the c**ppy remake horrible artwork.
Sony loves playing with the average US consumer when it comes to Blu-ray, not bringing them to its Region A editions is an offense, even though they go out in Regions B, C. Titles include: Nothing But The Truth, Elegy, (this), Fireproof, Brick Lane, Baghead, The Lazarus Project could have easily made it to Blu-ray from SPHE perfectly fine. There just too vague and unappreciative of us.
Anyone want to explain why it's getting a re-release within the same year? I'm still puzzled. Please don't tell me it's just to get a new DVD cover art :p
