ive been a fan since the begining but this was sum unfunny rubbish, sumhow i knew it would be.
I enjoyed it.
Some parts where indeed awful but it was a damn sight better than I expected.

I own the whole collection, this won't be gracing us with it's unfunny and repetitive presence.
If the Directors Cut is about 40 minutes it might be even watchable. Or funny.
This was gash. I did think, when watching this that, 'I remember this used to be funny didn't it?' I hadn't watched Red Dwarf in years, maybe more than 10 years, but my memory of it was that it was clever and funny. Seeing this over Easter made me think I'd just gotten older and didn't find it amusing anymore but this wasn'y the case when viewing the select older episodes that played either side of 'Back to Earth' on Dave.
The Red Dwarf of old was funny. I'm not sure what Back to Earth was meant to be or who it thought it was fooling.
I was even more puzzled by the 'making of' programme. Everyone seemed to be under the impression this was a fine addition to the series.
And then, weeks later, on Dave they had the balls to say Back to Earth was back (being screened again) by popular demand. I suppose if the TV channel that financed this turd says its good then it must be.

I didn't like it either, i thought Red Dwarf stopped being funny after series 6.

The first few Red Dwarf seasons are quite funny but I agree after the 5th or 6th season it started to get a bid ridiculous.
I still haven't seen every episode of the first few seasons (I only sporadically caught its first few seasons at like 2AM on public TV) but I quite like this show...

No Rob Grant = no Red Dwarf.
Series VII a couple of jokes over 8 episodes.
Series VIII was actually not bad, but nobody watched it after the disaster of VII (I only bought it as a completist so I could get the cool logo with all the sets on my shelf).
This thing... Part I was genuinely funny, but the Corrie/Blade Runner stuff... I didn't know what show I was watching, but it had already stopped being Red Dwarf some years ago.

Mostly, this was pretty damn poor. It looked cheap and the colour grading was hideous. Since this was shot in HD, shouldn't they be pushing a Blu-ray release?
this sucked donkey nuts

I just hope this leads to more Red Dwarf, fingers crossed
