Fox Home Entertainment has announced a new unrated edition of Reno 911: Miami for release on the 9th September. The "More Busted Than Ever Unrated Cut" will retail at around $19.98. The film itself will be presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. Extras will include commentary by writer/director Robert Ben Garant and writers Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney-Silver, an intro to “The Lost Version” by Lt. Jim Dangle, Deputy Travis Junior & Deputy Trudy Wiegel, extended scenes with optional commentary, a blooper reel, public service announcements, the theatrical trailer, and a digital copy of the film. at first i was glad that i haven't invested in a copy of this movie yet...and then my OCD kicked in and made me realize that i need to own both versions of the movie....
wasn't the initial release of this in both an Unrated, and rated R version?
yeah it was...but i got the impression that this was an unrated cut with even more things put back in? i may be wrong, and i hope i am, because i don't feel like buying both unrated cuts, which is something i will probably end up doing.
I own this already. One of those movies that really isn't all that good, but like a wreck, you just can't look away. The pull away scene showing everyone in thier rooms the first night reduces me to tears every time

the film as with every other television movie, was like an extended episode, but there were a few really good things about the movie, the rock, the crane shot of the hotel, and well.....ummm...F**KIN PEE WEE HERMAN!!!!!!
Why another re-release?
I already own the original uncut version so I think I'll skip this one and use the money to put A GALLON OF GAS in my car
If they are going to rerelease this, why not give it Blu-ray treatment as well? I would definitely purchase this on Blu-ray!
this is NOT "more extended", it just has a digital copy. thats the only difference. dont double dip becuase you think its longer, it isnt.
I don't have this yet. I think I'll pick up this version over the other one. I like the digital copy concept. I hate how they advertise it though.
I bought Rambo on Blu-ray today and tossed the Digital Copy disc right in the trash. I will never utilize that useless concept. Re-releasing this just for that reason is ridiculous. Unless there is a Blu-ray release along with this reissue, no sale.

Fox is lazy, like the club dread movie and a lot like sony titles, they will prolly just add some of the deleted scenes into the actual movie. See TECHNICALLY it is even more unrated, but as far as footage we havent seen before, it's most likely a big crock

The disc contains a producer-preferred 68-minute "Lost" Cut of the movie as the "introduction" bonus indicates. It ALSO includes the existing "Unrated" cut as the main feature.

I don't get why some people hate the digital copy so much. What gives? Sure, you might not use it every time but I put FAMILY GUY: BLUE HARVEST on my iPod and it was nice to have the option.

That revised art is horrible. Sure it's just the same picture with a different digital copy logo, but the old logo is so much better. That white strip completely detracts from the cover. The other one was simple and in line with all of Fox's other digital copy logos.
If they were going to bother re-releasing this film, why the hell wouldn't they put it on Blu-ray as well? I hope no one out there buys this just to prove a point. Digital copies are worthless! You watch a movie at home! Not on a 2.5 inch screen!
